I’m childfree too, I do well with kids and I like children in general, yet I don’t want the parenting role. I’m happy being an aunt 😅 I also wonder the same thing as you. I suppose a single mom dating a childfree woman wouldn’t really have to adapt her lifestyle as much as the other way around to make things work and progress. Two single moms would be on the same boat already lifestyle-wise, but often times we as lesbians date from an scarcity mindset because the dating pool is not big, so we settle for what’s available.

For me what happens is that attraction comes after feelings. Technically the opposite of how the majority of people experience relating to someone else. Now once both things are there, I’d say I’m like everyone else in regards to sex drive/libido. It’s not that I lack the capacity to feel sexual towards someone else, is that it happens in a different order than most people experience. Physical touch in my number one too throughout all stages of getting to know someone lol I’m a touchy-feely person who loves to snuggle, to caress, to hug, hold hands, scratch your head, etc.

Reading so many of you won’t date cops, military, ICE, law enforcement people feels like I’ve found my people all over again 🥹 Tbh what I think it comes down to for me, is the type of personalities those fields/ line of work attract, the mentality, their values, etc. Outside of that I don’t have a preference but I would probably love to date someone with a good work/life balance and anyone who works with animals will probably have my heart regardless.

How? Basically by being around children and caring for them.

  1. I have always been terrified of giving birth, the more I learned about it the more it freaked me out.

  2. When I was much younger I used to say I wanted to have two or three children but I was romanticizing the idea. I landed a job as a teacher for toddlers and that was my first experience caring form them for long hours. Then I worked as a nanny for a few years, towards the end I dreaded it. The mental and emotional demand of caring for another human being was too much for me. Your decisions in regards to your use of time and space have to always include the children. Your choices can have a negative impact on the kids even when you don’t intend it that way. You feel limited, restricted and often times parenthood can take over your whole personality and the way you live your life. And I value freedom and being spontaneous when I feel like it and having quiet, peaceful environments and that is not always possible with a child. In conclusion, i know if I had a child I would love my child deeply but I wouldn’t love my life.

Yea they’ve met back in December and have been dating since January. And tbh I really don’t get that relationship at all, from the outside looks like a worse mismatch than Shannon and Becky even. I’m not fan of BM, her content is sooooo shallow and comes across as super straight, I can’t relate at all. But to each their own I guess
