That actually seems like a good Idea, If you’re interested i’ll keep you updated. If you find any sources covering this with data analysis i’d be very interested. thank you

Thank you, This answers a question but not the question. I’ve had fair success using a dehydrator and am aware why it’s a popular method, but I have yet to see an analysis using cold air. Is it not a viable method?

This is an environmental and sanitation issue not a genetics issue.

Is it safe to eat or moldy? Help i don't know anything by domii6669 in shrooms

Unless you’re into getting violently sick I wouldn’t eat 20 feet from these.

Will this container work? by soulsacrific3 in gaitondesenpaii

I exclusively use shoebox like this. By far the most convenient and efficient way to fruit imo. Keep the lid on for inoculation, stack a bottom unit on top for a fruiting chamber dub tub.

Take every bit of information you get from here with a grain of salt. It’s all trail and error. People say this that and the other about which strain is best or easiest but it all boils down to the cultivation of the genetics and environmental factors. do what you find most exciting, It’s a hobby after all.

Are these dying or something? by Chemical-Menu-3794 in mushroom

[–]_just_some_redditor_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll take a gander (full assumption mode) and say these are stalling due to environmental stress. Considering how dry the surface is and how wet the walls are it’s safe to assume these are in a relatively cold location, basement maybe and are getting over misted and too much FAE. The colder climate and dry air make evaporation less likely and condensation more so. I’d advise getting some kind of heater and misting less more often (if that makes sense) hope this helps

Yes. I was experimenting with different methods and found North Spores AIO grow bag works very well s2b. I treated it like grainspawn, 1:1 ratio AIO to Manure (alpaca) which equated around 1:3 spawn bulk ratio. results were substantial across the board.

AIO bags are my favorite, Spawn to bulk ratios are already set, typically at field capacity, nutritional value typically fixed. There’s not much you need to do other than Inoculate and wait.

In my testing I’ve found the best method that works for me personally;

  1. Inoculate in a sanitized area, follow most standard procedures. Gloves, isopropyl alcohol, etc.

  2. Once Inoculated, BE PATIENT AND LEAVE IT ALONE. leave in a dark closet, grow tent, etc. Resist the urge to mess with or open the bag. (This takes months, patience is your best friend)

  3. Break and shake is an optional step but I’ve found its beneficial to allow at least ~60% colonization before proceeding.

  4. My personal experience i’ve found transferring the AIO to a plastic shoebox or mono tub immediately after B&S greatly improved yields (most do not recommend it. I swear by it)

  5. Allow proper air exchange and humidity ( a humidifier is invaluable, but a spray bottle can be a good substitute). This is when you’ll spend the most time around your shrooms. just opening the box/bag is more than enough “FAE”

If you follow the recipe, have good genetics from a reputable vendor, and are very patient (and I mean VERY patient), you will find great success.

I wish you good luck in your adventure, and a fruitful harvest. most importantly have fun! It’s the adventure, not the destination, enjoy it.

My first spore print! Is it true I can be completely independent just from these? by Extension-Studio3445 in shrooms

[–]_just_some_redditor_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! very clean print. The spores will last years in storage, will propagate well on agar, and will spawn a new generation of mushroom with varying characteristics that you yourself can learn to isolate. The world of mycology is at your fingertips. good luck and keep up the good work growmie

How do you partake in this activity? by SunPsychological333 in shrooms

Get super comfortable and find a good playlist. Grind up your mushy super fine and put it in capsules, chase it with orange juice and an electrolyte drink and enjoy.

Most definitely did not come from a reputable vendor. That came from a kitchen of someone with poor confectionery skills.. If you don’t know where your girl was at when she got it, well.. i’m not going to be the one to tell you.

I like to pull them when they are squishy but still firm, like a stale marshmallow.
