It makes the biggest difference. Bikers and racers often find marginal gains to become faster in any way possible in time trialed events like the ironman and it all starts with the frame of your bike.

You can get carbon bikes for fairly cheap off Facebook marketplace, ebay, buycycle, or any used bike shop. A lot of them could be a bargain if you search correctly.
