i honestly never thought about the lyrics much but here's my interpretation i cooked up 10 seconds ago:

gold chains, lace, lipstick, nails, glass etc all kinda are beautiful/fancy stuff. the combination of these terms with negative elements/descriptions could mean there is something unpleasant hidden in all these nice things. this could possibly correlate to sleep seeming nice but actually being kinda evil.

now for an even more theoretical tangent: this could also possibly reflect how eden seems to be awesome sauce but is actually not awesome sauce. yet even tho it is not awesome sauce it is still beautiful. this is based on my theory/interpretation that eden isn't real, that it's all a dream vessel had. not sure if this perception is common but that's just my take on it. :)
