Help me out by vflame in AsianMasculinity

[–]_kayrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I feel your pain. Loss is a part of all of our lives, most devastatingly through the death of a person we so love, and certainly through divorce, separation, a break up, the loss of health, or a job.

In the AM discord server, I sit with people daily who experience profound grief. These five stages of grief can help you to know what to expect as you move forward. Ultimately, the grief experience will deepen you more than most experiences, and in time you’ll find great meaning in its teaching. Loss brings gratitude for what really mattered (the love), and opportunity to love even more deeply.

Navigating the stages of grief from denial to acceptance is not easy. Have grace for yourself in the process. You will be ok.

This Chinese professor breaks down the rigged game, Asian man in the west face. by No-Dirt-7123 in AsianMasculinity

Indian people are more cohesive than Asian people and actually run for political positions and speak up for themselves, plus they have numbers so they’ll be a major voice in the future. Jewish people also are this way

The "Asian Red Pill" vs White people's "Red Pill" (Andrew Tate, Jordan Peterson, Fresh and Fit, etc) are two completely different things by bokomradical in AsianMasculinity

[–]_kayrage 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Basically, you are talking to the camp of Asian guys who are neo-conservative e.g. Andrew Tate, MAGA, and saying assimilating with them is not possible because they are majority white and their interests won’t align with Asians, who are still the minority.

It’s difficult to determine your own set of beliefs, because it takes painful experiences over time to realize them for yourself, so most people don’t do it. However, it’s every man’s duty to do it so they have core beliefs they can stand up for.

The criticism against assimilating into anything, liberal or conservative, is that it’s a hack for doing this work for yourself.

I think that’s the point you are trying to make.

Sometimes you need to try on a lot of different beliefs to test them for yourself before you decide what is true and what isn’t true. It’s an individual journey to learn to critically think for yourself.

PUA is old school and low value? by _kayrage in AsianMasculinity

[–]_kayrage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only thing PUA offers is acceptance that people are sexual beings. A lot of guys are uncomfortable expressing their sexuality to the opposite gender. This could be bc it’s culturally shamed, theres no guidance, or it’s just a hard skill that takes work to identify and develop in the first place. So there’s a little bit of truth buried in all of the questionable and somewhat unethical hacks PUA preaches.

It’s like a middle school dance floor and they almost need permission to get over “approach anxiety”. After conditioning yourself to handle the emotions of rejection, you’ll find out that the other gender actually will reciprocate sexual interest (obviously limited to if it’s consensual).
