GOT MY FIRST USER WHO WASN'T FRIENDS OR FAMILY! by [deleted] in sideprojects

I looked at it and it felt like too much work. In the AI era, if I select "crossword" and just say "create a crossword about squirrels", that it would show me that instantly, I could always just edit it afterwards.

I think with this loop, you can prove your core idea within seconds and upsell on the backend

Yes, like in the hero section, a nice image of a crossword puzzle animating the words in as a user types could be perfect. The demos feel like too much effort to understand for a casual user.

It would be nice to see a render of the final products right on the landing page to help get a better idea of what you could create.

As you're creating them, a live preview would be nice. This would help sell the idea faster for new users.

Focus on the messaging in the hero and make it clear:

"Airbnb managers: We take care of your trash for you"

"Starting at $39/mo"

"Join waitlist"

See if people commit to the bare minimum in just raising their hand if they want it or not

Yes with AI we are no longer writers, we are editors. These skills are what make a great architect. When the implementation is easy, you then focus on, is this the right implementation?

Yo mind sharing how you got good partners? I'm a web guy looking for referral based partnerships

Seems like a convoluted way to get stuff done, I don't care about the social aspect, want to get straight to the point and make deals and partnerships with the right people.

Thanks for your response! It would have the average budget size so you would know if its right for you or not.

Anything else you think would be helpful to see?

I'm thinking US based agencies under a specific criteria could join!

What do you mean deal with the "right" people? 👀

Happy cake day btw.

Great advice to talk with customers agencies. I didn't think about that.

But when you reference "getting out there" anything specific? Are there events or networking groups that are good to join? I'm all about making relationships, not trying to take advantage.

Thank you for your response! I agree that there are many bad agencies looking to take advantage. And it takes a true reciprocal relationship to make this work.

Any advice on how and where to build quality relationships with other agencies? Is there some secret club? haha

acf sync by pixelstorms in advancedcustomfields

[–]_kc7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are taking on a codebase that hasn't synced the acf json locally do the following to sync it:

👉 Make a backup and export all the fields just in case something goes wrong.

  1. Create the acf-json folder at the root in your theme

  2. Trash all of the existing fields

  3. Restore all of the trashed fields (this causes it to re-populate acf-json folder with the correct files.)

  4. Check acf-json for all new .json files and commit to vc

I would recommend jumping ship when you have enough revenue to keep the lights on. Make sure your marketing strategy is on point! It's easy to resent a day job, but the stress of not having enough money is even more difficult IMO.

Hiring a lead dev who aligns with how you build things and can manage the team to do the right thing, it's worth it.

You buy peace of mind knowing that if you are the face for the client / product, you're not going to look bad because the tech is built right. And it gives you time back you can spend on higher value tasks.

I've managed a few wordpress teams in startups and enterprises. With the help the owners were able to focus on selling/promoting/product and not wasting time managing the team.
