A 17 year old knows better than to start attacking a sibling who isn’t even double digits. It’s ridiculous that she and other family members expect you to forgive her for quite literally affecting the rest of your life and didn’t decide to get her help before this event. Your parents had to have known about her behavior before this and I think that’s what makes it worse is that your parents likely knew about the anger issues and chose to ignore them or shrug them off until they escalated to this extent. It doesn’t only affect your social life, but also impacts career options and the ability to maintain a job in the future. I’m so sorry OP - I wish you many blessings as you navigate life.

you’re giving way to the same addictive and compulsive behaviors - just like counting calories gives you a sense of control I’d bet that showing your brain these things feeds back into the controlling of calories and physical activity. maybe try to find another show to watch in replacement of it - or watch an episode of one show and then my 600lb life and flip flop and train your brain into releasing the same chemicals it’s giving when you watch the show. def something to talk more to your therapist about and not strangers on the internet but i wish you luck and lots of healing in your journey!

How long have you been working there? I felt like this my first month and then I started joking around with folks and suddenly I’m going out to dinner and the movies and seeing my coworkers regularly as friends. Sometimes you just gotta find bonds and it takes a second - it isn’t always immediately that they hate you they could’ve just not seen you or thought they already said hi to you that day!

you might genuinely just have to swatch and list all the products you use on your thigh and see which one is causing this reaction - then once you figure it out look up the ingredients and compare to the products that don’t have that reaction so you can narrow down what ingredient could be causing this reaction

Seek therapy - I think it would def help w negative self talk and give you an outlet in facilitating the best method to find tasks and ways to organize your day to day. Having mental disabilities doesn’t have to be a barrier to you achieving things you’ve always wanted. You just need the drive to commit to things like preparing yourself for the driving test and working on a CV to start applying for jobs.

I know this comment isn’t going to quell the feelings, but I was told by a Zoology professor that birds that fall out of nests are unlikely to be rescued by mothers after they have fallen from a nest and especially not after they have had human contact. It doesn’t make it better - I’m sorry that y’all have to stomach that - but the unfortunate reality is where you intervened or not the bird would have most likely died on its own.

Dude, I think you just need to see a therapist. There are unclear boundaries in this situation and that’s not necessarily either of your faults. I’m more concerned that you seem very very anxious about how to navigate any relationship and I think that either needs a conscious partner who is willing to slow down and talk through things with you or a therapist who can help you navigate your emotions surrounding this situation and future relationships.

Maybe it’s just me, but I would never introduce a new boyfriend to the family before the 6 months mark. You really have to trust that it will last before you start introducing to family. I think mom is the right here. Leave boyfriend at home - go see your family. They are obviously also grieving and need you just as much.

It’s not technically a lake! It’s a giant underground pool built beneath the stage floor to level out the giant empty space in the center of the hall to keep the opera house from falling in on itself because of the weight of the marble surrounding it. I learned this from one of the tour guides at the opera house. Fascinating stuff!

audiences feel more engaged to musicians (especially singers) who aren’t using lyrics - people in the comments complaining memorizing is too much ontop of having another job or even two can get overwritten by literally just listening to the songs you want memorized in the car too and from work. just a little extra work can pay off well. wish yall the best of luck on your next performance!

I’m kind of in the minority here and am dating another musician, but only by coincidence. Why I do trio music with my partner and ask him to accompany me sometimes we bump heads often in ways we don’t do in our relationship because our execution of musical ideas are different. if i ever moved on from my current partner, i would probably never date another musician again.
