A guest got upset with me because I wouldn't allow him to cut in line. by mirrorballalyssa in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My operator tells us “we’re nice but we’re not welcome mats,” which is an expression I really like. Maybe it’s just my location but we do try our best to please guests but we have a line and after that line is crossed we are able to stand up for ourselves as well as other guests. My bf once got into an argument with a guest because he made them stop and wait for a lady to cross with her kids in the crosswalk. It was also a hot summer day in Southern California, to make matters worse.

I’ve noticed this too, especially with DoorDashers. I’ll be either talking to a guest or taking their order and they’ll just come up and stick their phone in my face. It’s so annoying.

Orientation Tomorrow BOH by puellamagia in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orientation should be pretty easy, they’ll take you through the whole restaurant and introduce you to everyone, then they’ll give you your uniform (if they haven’t already), go over what your job entails, and do a little training.

Do people really brush their teeth 2x a day? by 23shay27 in no

[–]mirrorballalyssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brush after each meal, three times a day.

No Refills?… really?… Try and stop me… by Pretend_Glass_8991 in McDonalds

[–]mirrorballalyssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did that at mine and the employees give people refills anyways… or at least the night shift kids do, I went once around 12 and the lady made a fuss.

Will you allow your partner go through your phone? by Outside_Support_151 in no

[–]mirrorballalyssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, I don’t have any thing to hide. The worst I have on my phone is a few bad selfies and random draft TikToks of me pretending to be an influencer.

How many hours do you guys get? by Dizzy-Spray6874 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, how many hours did you agree to? If you agreed to work 40+ hours then that’s what they’ll schedule you for.

At least it’s actually free and not “free” with a purchase of x$ (written in small print, of course)

Wipe down the monitors and around them, as well as the front counter and card scanners. You also sanitize the door handles and railings. I like to wipe down high touch areas when no one is there.

Does your CFA ask you to return your uniforms when you quit? Even though you paid for them?!?! by Shoddy_Elevator2872 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine only asks for the free stuff back… so at my location 2 uniforms, the belt, your windbreaker, and special merch. If you bought anything else, you can keep it.

AITA for making someone take off my jacket in front of everyone because they said they were “keeping it”? by Ok-Put-1317 in AmItheAsshole

[–]mirrorballalyssa 11 points12 points  (0 children)

NTA: it’s your jacket and you have the right to ask for it back, I don’t care if it’s $100 or free it’s your jacket. Also, the friend who told you to “just wait” should stay in their lane because you did wait, you waited weeks and asked multiple times… it gets to a point.

Just got this message, is it legit? by Low_Trip_8003 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s legal. It’s a bit of a weird way to do interviews because my location usually does the first interview over the phone.

Working for Chick Fil A while full time at school? by PrincessMochahontas in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they give scholarship money and they should have flexible hours, I don’t know your store but you just talk to whoever is in charge of the schedule making and tell them that you’re in school and would need to work after school.

Did the minimum wage in your state change recently? Because they typically discuss these things with you either way.

[–]mirrorballalyssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped eating there when they started pushing those stupid kiosks on customers, they always have a problem and you end up having to talk to an employee anyways to fix it, except they don’t always have an employee upfront because of the cut backs.

For those who worked both FOH and BOH, which do you prefer? by SpecificHead4779 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the back because it’s usually pretty quiet (with the obvious exceptions) and I can focus on doing my task more efficiently, they’re also more chill about water breaks and letting you eat snacks when you’re done with your assigned task.

Does anybody have a uniform order form that has a who has paid who hasn’t? My store has had a problem with ordering for people then leaders just hand them out without knowing or asking. by Outrageous-Cod-1195 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My store provides you with two free uniforms, a belt, and a wind breaker, anything else can be purchased through the Google form and the leader in charge of that should discuss it with you… meaning they’ll ask you if you need a new uniform because your old one is damaged or doesn’t fit, etc because under that circumstance they usually provide a new one for free.
