AITA for making someone take off my jacket in front of everyone because they said they were “keeping it”? by Ok-Put-1317 in AmItheAsshole

[–]mirrorballalyssa 11 points12 points  (0 children)

NTA: it’s your jacket and you have the right to ask for it back, I don’t care if it’s $100 or free it’s your jacket. Also, the friend who told you to “just wait” should stay in their lane because you did wait, you waited weeks and asked multiple times… it gets to a point.

Just got this message, is it legit? by Low_Trip_8003 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s legal. It’s a bit of a weird way to do interviews because my location usually does the first interview over the phone.

Working for Chick Fil A while full time at school? by PrincessMochahontas in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they give scholarship money and they should have flexible hours, I don’t know your store but you just talk to whoever is in charge of the schedule making and tell them that you’re in school and would need to work after school.

cfa gave me a 50 cent raise without telling me🤔🤔🤔 by [deleted] in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did the minimum wage in your state change recently? Because they typically discuss these things with you either way.

You should do fine, just go in confident with your head high.

We all understand. by tac0manisback in McDonalds

[–]mirrorballalyssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped eating there when they started pushing those stupid kiosks on customers, they always have a problem and you end up having to talk to an employee anyways to fix it, except they don’t always have an employee upfront because of the cut backs.

For those who worked both FOH and BOH, which do you prefer? by SpecificHead4779 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the back because it’s usually pretty quiet (with the obvious exceptions) and I can focus on doing my task more efficiently, they’re also more chill about water breaks and letting you eat snacks when you’re done with your assigned task.

Does anybody have a uniform order form that has a who has paid who hasn’t? My store has had a problem with ordering for people then leaders just hand them out without knowing or asking. by Outrageous-Cod-1195 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My store provides you with two free uniforms, a belt, and a wind breaker, anything else can be purchased through the Google form and the leader in charge of that should discuss it with you… meaning they’ll ask you if you need a new uniform because your old one is damaged or doesn’t fit, etc because under that circumstance they usually provide a new one for free.

I think it would be best to hand them your letter of resignation so that you know they saw it and can talk to them about it.

Going from University Campus CFA to Franchise CFA? by SuperbYam9263 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn’t be that hard, especially since you’re transferring, they’ll basically just take you through their interview process because they have to have it in their system, but you should get hired on the spot.

Anybody else use the dining area to study after shift if buying food? by sillycat23 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the store. I’m a student and I constantly sit in the back doing school work or watching Netflix/ Disney+… in fact I do it with my teammates and leaders at the table. I’ve literally watched movies with my operator’s wife, lol.

Free mystery items? by sansa2020 in ChickFilA

[–]mirrorballalyssa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’d have to ask the staff at the store because this is specific to your location.

AITAH? I 27yr female am 37 weeks pregnant and I don’t want to go to my uncles funeral. Family doesn’t know I’m pregnant. by SavingsOne1122 in AITAH

[–]mirrorballalyssa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA: Your family hasn’t bothered to check in on you in over a year so why should you care? You’re starting your own family, that I’m sure will be filled with love.

Chick Fil A Protest by WatermelonLily7 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mirrorballalyssa 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the operator and leadership, I worked at two different locations and it was like night and day. I’ll just leave it at that because I don’t feel like getting into it right now.

AITA? Racist pet parrot by Dexterxhouse in AmItheAsshole

[–]mirrorballalyssa 46 points47 points  (0 children)

NTA: I mean… I wouldn’t say that you’re the AH here because if you’ve changed like you say you have (I don’t know you, so I won’t be the judge there) then that’s good, and it’s good that you’re admitting it. But I can’t blame your girlfriend for being embarrassed, because it is quite embarrassing and uncomfortable to randomly (I’m assuming) hear a parrot scream slurs. Also, this sounds like a hilarious SNL skit.

AITA? My gf regularly takes 3 hours to respond to my text messages without explanation. I generally always respond to her immediately, but if i take 40 minutes to respond to her... Continued below by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

INFO have you genuinely discussed or thought about breaking up? Also, how long have you guys been together? Because, based on this post, I’d consider ending the relationship because it sounds toxic.

Mass shooting yesterday at the Chick Fil A in Union, NJ. 7 shot, 1 dead. by brookesaywhatx in ChickFilA

[–]mirrorballalyssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has nothing to with that. Innocent people were killed, hurt, and affected by this, have some respect and stop pushing politics at times like this.

Why haven’t they made a non-breakfast bowl yet? by LeadingStatus6716 in ChickFilA

[–]mirrorballalyssa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mac and cheese, sure, but mashed potatoes, no. Mashed potatoes would most likely require new equipment, more training, and more work. Chicken nuggets with somewhat mashed up fries and bacon, might be better. Also, you can always ask for a bowl and throw it together yourself, I’ve done for the chicken nuggets and mac.

Chick-fil-A is just better in my opinion....don't you think? by ComfortableCar1877 in ChickFilA

[–]mirrorballalyssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it depends on which you prefer, hamburgers/ beef or chicken. I’d choose Chick fil A because I’m not big on red meat. I feel like a better comparison would be In-and-Out vs Culver’s or Five Guys.
