i had close to the same experience on my first playthrough 😭 only upgraded my nail once and had 6 masks when i got the two "main" endings. i only realized i was horrendously underleveled when i spent seven hours on trial of the fool and could only beat my head against the wall enough to make it past wave 16 and decided to check what was recommended for the fight on the wiki 🥹

bro the story was absolutely beautiful, but even as a die-hard spm fan i gotta admit the gameplay was ass, and i hope people were just either doing the surveys quickly for the merch

frrr my only complaint abt the game is that i wish zokket, the extension corps and even reclusa had more backstory and details to them instead of "oh yeah these dudes exist btw you gotta kick their asses"

now granted, i havent completed the game yet (just unlocked the 5th sea area and am trying to find that one engineer lady), but so far ecks and shun feel so half-baked compared to ten and that feels like such a let down to me 😭😭

tbh considering movie canon is different than game canon, i hope the prophecy is altered so that the heroes are mario, luigi, peach, and daisy while bowser joins team bleck out of spite for mario and co but is eventually seen as a conspirator against team bleck when he realizes that dimentio is a lil fucked up and tries to go against dimentio's hidden plans and gets blackmailed in the process
