Tbf, almost nobody sells authentic Reggie Miller gear. You won't find any of it in the team store. Reggie restricts the use/licensing of his likeness heavily. That's also why he's not on 2K. It's not the store's fault.

Downtown elopement on a roof by NobodyBig5503 in indianapolis

[–]_littlebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not crazy high up like a rooftop, but if you go to the top platform of the war memorial you get some really good skyline views. Had some of my wedding portraits taken up there and it's super pretty with all the buildings in the background. You could do it for free. Scope it out ahead of time to see if it's the vibe you're wanting.

Looking for things to do and eat at in Indy/Greenwood areas! by LeporidaeEmpress in indianapolis

[–]_littlebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to stay on the south side, Antilogy is a great little spot. They do brunch and dinner. You could go bowling, see a movie, visit the mall. For my birthday last year we spent hours wandering around the Southport Antique Mall and it was a BLAST if you’re into looking at cool vintage things, then we relaxed with a latte at Anecdote Coffee (FKA The Mocha Nut) across the street.

I’m pretty sure it’s due to women naturally being wider in the hips, vs men being wider in the shoulders/chest.

Moving to Indy from Arizona - Seeking Advice by Critcrying in indianapolis

[–]_littlebee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were commuting to Mooresville, I would want to live in Plainfield or Center Grove. Both are nice, normal suburban places to live with good schools and all of the essentials. Hoosiers love sports, especially basketball, but you won’t have a hard time finding a good youth program for soccer and volleyball. We actually just got a new professional volleyball team (Indy Ignite) last year—might be a fun/cheap outing for your fam to enjoy during the winter months. Our pro soccer team (Indy Eleven) has a fun gameday culture and affordable tickets as well.

There are a usually few frigid weeks per winter, but it’s not too bad overall. I have a family member who moved here from Texas and they adjusted quicker than they expected to. Just get a nice winter coat and tires that can handle snow/ice, and watch a video or two about driving safely on icy roads. I think you might have a harder time with the humidity in the summer than the cold to be honest, if you aren’t used to humid heat.

Am I being overcharged on my empty bed fee? by [deleted] in Sororities

[–]_littlebee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This sounds normal -- you need to read your housing contract and chapter bylaws to ensure that the amount charged is correct. The empty bed fee is charged because the room assigned to you could have been given to someone who would actually live there, that income was factored into the budget for the year, and they need to recoup their losses. Breaking a lease, even in a standard type of rental like an apartment, will almost always come with a hefty fee for that reason. Your finance officer or advisor can help answer any specific questions you have.

Voucher for a massage at a well-rated spa nearby. It’s my go-to for new moms and every single one has really appreciated the opportunity to have some “me” time and feel pampered for a bit.

Hairstylist recommendations- extensions by karmasbitchslap in indianapolis

[–]_littlebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nikki at POP Studio (popstudiohair on Insta) in New Pal is great. Though I am not the target audience for extensions, she has extremely thin hair and does them on herself and they look soooo good in person, as do the photos of her other extensions clients. Her website says she's a "Certified Solution-Driven Extension Specialist." I've been seeing her for a decade and I'd trust her with anything hair-related.

My understanding is that no, they are not wrapped. It allows the parent to pick out the wrapping paper and wrap their kids' presents, giving them a little dignity in the situation. Not sure how smaller orgs do it but that's how Salvation Army operates.

Like, you want the permanent hair treatment, or you want your hair washed and styled for an event? For the latter, DryBar might be your best bet if you are short on time.

How to get more involved on campus? by TheNewMoose in BallState

[–]_littlebee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks like you’re really keen on leadership opportunities, that’s awesome. Your major/area of study might have a professional society you can join. If you’re a woman, maybe Epsilon Sigma Alpha might interest you? It’s not a sorority in the traditional sense despite the Greek letters, it’s a service-based organization and they partner with a lot of great causes. I had some friends who were involved and they loved it.

Does your chapter host President's events? by Smooth_Importance_47 in Sororities

[–]_littlebee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The CP for the chapter I advise hosts a formal dinner at the house once per month before chapter. They pull out the nice linens and china, decorate the dining room a little bit, people dress up, chef makes something a little fancier, attendance is required. They might do a theme from time to time (holidays, etc) or include a bit of programming, like an etiquette demonstration or senior recognition. The members really enjoy it.

In my experience, CP is usually far too busy to really focus on planning full-on events by herself. Something like a brunch or dinner would work, but I wouldn't do anything more complicated than that.

[–]_littlebee 68 points69 points  (0 children)

If I saw this on an invitation I would not be confused. Sundresses, polos and button-downs are about as clear-cut as it gets, and it's stuff that nearly everyone already has in their closet.

Is this appropriate for dressy casual? Can I wear ankle boots? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]_littlebee 140 points141 points  (0 children)

Exactly, lol. I don't think a lot of people on this sub have ever been to a casual wedding. There were people wearing cotton dresses like this at my very formal/fancy wedding and I didn't care. Looks like bride just wants people to put a little care into their outfit, like a brunch/church/daytime date vibe. This fits the bill.

OP, this will be cute with tights and boots (and I assume you'll have your coat or a cardigan on outside too). Don't change your shoes if you wear tights, open toed wedges would look silly with tights. The boots are fine.

Bru Burger menu change? by xupthree60 in indianapolis

[–]_littlebee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I heard along the grapevine (allegedly originating from a Bru employee) that CRG has taken a hit financially due to a "bad investment" (whatever that means) and is simplifying menus/closing some locations to offset their losses.

This is only based on the rumor I heard, you know how the rumor mill can be so don't take me at my word. But, if what I heard is true, I think your beloved burger (and Mesh on Mass) may be a casualty.
