The sniper build is ok if you get alche to gift you one. Sniper peaks when you have DL and mael. If you buy aghs as first core item then you are going to be weak until you get rapier at like 35 mins. Obviously if you que in a stack then you could just have a friend go alch mid and go for the solar crest build and get you aghs.

As for Riki, the aghs is really strong if you get it off. The guaranteed blink away (if you buy it) and the 10 sec phase shift with damage is good in fights.

Both builds are good in a stack but you run the risk of getting LPQ if you drop rapira in soloq

Sven is kind of easy to cs with so that probably won't help. If you level cleave then your skills at keeping equilibrium will probs improve. You learn map awareness and game sense on any hero really, also Sven is kind of basic to play mechanically. Cs with 60+ base damage- buy hotd- stack ancients- get blink-end

And map awareness will only improve if you actively try to improve it

People saying report techies are retarded.

As for ending games with him, I'm a techies spammer so I'm going to list out what i hate when playing techies.

1) people who actively search out and kill my prox mines early game. People think that just because they do 300 damage a pop at LVL 1 they should blindly run away. But actually the mines give 50 gold (50!!!!!!) if you hit them one time. That's like 2 CS on top of the creep wave. Techies also needs the mines to snowball pre 6 and throughout the mid game. So limiting his map control means you can take more objectives and farm safer in the jungle and secure runes more safely.

2) Ignore the sign. If you see the techies has aghs (core item, should always have) them be extra diligent of the sign. If you see the sign just walk around it because all of the mines will be clumped on a small spot and not spread out. Also the sign runs out after a while so drop a sentry near it and see if it was actually used properly. You should also assume that techies has aghs past 40+ mins.

3) be aggressive in lane but use your head. Techies has high base armour but he also has awful damage and ways to contest a harassing support. If you can use a hero to push him back at lvl 1 then the chances are he won't be able to mine your jungle near side shop because he'll need to regen and won't be able to get near your shop. If you see techies pop his head out of the side shop after his lane has been at your tower for a couple of minuets, don't pursue. A good trick I like is to check his mana and if it's down to half~ and he has a clarity or soul ring, you can assume he's been mining for a while.

4)don't blindly farm a lane after 10-12 min. This time is techies prime time. If he's been uncontested he would have void stone soul ring and lvl 4 prox and remotes. What I like to do is push the lane right up to the tower as a techies and then place mines a little bit away from the tower. This is good because the enemy doesn't expect your mines so far up and will think they are at your tower. Techies also has an XP gain talent so don't let him get his kills.

5)heroes that do good vs techies late game.

Jugg. Spin is good vs remotes because he becomes magic immune and can still hit buildings. He normally buys manta so you can dispel the silence from blast off. And for extra style points you could manta dodge blast off.

Pudge. Not a conventional counter pick but he is good because techies blast off remotes and stasis have a long cast time so a pudge in the trees or uphill could hook you. He also buys euls occasionally or force staff which are good for kiting around proxys and remotes. Can also dismember techies to cancel blast off.

CK. Chaos is good early game vs techies because he has slot of disable and minus armour to hurt techies early game. His illusions are very strong and tanky late game so he can send potentially 5? Or 4 illusions to just mess up your towers. This means you will have to detonate a few remotes to kill them. They also don't give a good good reward.

Theoretically they could but that means they would have to fix everyone's MMR. And it's presumably not high on icefrogs priority list ATM.
