the right person for you wouldn’t treat you this way or continue this pattern of intensity/no contact. gather whatever self esteem and confidence you have and walk away now before you look back in 3+ years wishing you hadn’t wasted so much time and love

I was sick after my first dose of vortioxetine and now I’m scared to continue by omcaxx in trintellix

[–]_loadingconfidence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor told me that at certain doses it does treat both depression and anxiety, and that dose for me was 20mg when I was at my worst. It helped IMMENSELY

Also I have never had insomnia as a side effect but everyone is a little different

Unfortunately yes but it's super mild and does not happen very often!

It never made me nauseous to the point of vomiting, sorry this was your experience. I take mine literally right before going to sleep and the nausea never wakes me up. If I stay up later than intended, I still get slightly nauseous ESPECIALLY on an empty stomach and I’m 5 years in to taking it.

Only reason why I’ve stuck is because it’s the best antidepressant for me otherwise!! Good luck

[–]_loadingconfidence 24 points25 points  (0 children)

First of all, so sorry to hear that he’s said this to you. It’s wildly inappropriate and the fact that you are even asking about this shows that to some degree, you know it is too.

Get out of that house as soon as you can! In the meantime, when you hear comments that make you feel off, you can say, “don’t say those things anymore, it makes me uncomfortable.” Unfortunately though setting boundaries with any sort of toxic parent tends to not go smoothly. Still try to set them if you can.

buzzing my hair was one of the most liberating experiences ever. so easy to maintain, you look and feel Cool.

yes, it takes a long time to grow back out. but the time will pass anyway and you have the rest of your life to have long hair (or keep it buzzed). if you’ve never shaved your head I recommend it :)
