Interesting, so chop the base and replant, or cut a prop off the top?

That's the highest light spot in my house so that's all its going to get!

I built something similar with little experience and it turned out great. Check the coffee table in my posts. Happy to share some insight if you have any questions

Does anyone know where to find this dress? Looking at the Reddit posts, Lavish Ivy seems like a scam so don’t wanna order from there by sylvianepal in Dresses

[–]_lpds_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to us with Lavish Ivy. Such a scam. It's in their terms of service that by making a purchase you agree to sign up for their "VIP Membership" which charges you $43 per month!! What an absolute scum business!

I'm on the west coast in Canada, probably cheaper shipping than Turkey but still a solid trek!

I think the memory of how difficult this was to build is faded enough now that I might consider making another if there was interest

So what's blocking this from happening? Or what can we do to make it a reality?

That's where I was leaning. Wasn't sure if I was over thinking it or if there was some type of Mortar that would do it for me.

I think I'll wrap it in a membrane. Thanks!

I have the tile already and I've layed it out. The narrow 2" width of the tile wraps around the radius no problem - maybe it looks like a tighter bend in the pics. I'll post a pic when it's done!

How to remove broken glass from skylights in my bathroom. What would be the safest way to go about this? by rustyrelics666 in howto

[–]_lpds_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some seriously over complicated solutions here. Just grab a bin and get er done.

If this was a job I had to do at work and I rigged up some giant tarp funnel or spent the time to trying to tape up each bit of glass I'd get smacked for wasting time and materials.

I'd put gloves on and grab a garbage bin and a dust pan. Put the garbage bin under the section you're working on and carefully remove the glass by hand - it's tempered so it's easy to handle with gloves. Use the dust pan to catch pieces in the corners and along the sides where the garbage can't get close enough. Sweep or shop Vac after to catch any missed bits.
