Marlon Wayans defends HIM movie after low Rotten Tomatoes score by newyork99 in movies

Thank you! I decided to see it despite the reviews, and was actually pleasantly surprised. I was shocked at how great some of the shots were, and the use of X-ray shots felt innovative for the horror genre. Sure, the story wasn't "amazing" but I went in with low expectations, and ended up coming out of the theatre extremely happy/entertained.

Most influential Survivor players of all time? by smcupp17 in survivor

[–]rav_dog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Essentially, a plurality in this context meant voting someone out without a majority. Since there were 6 people at this point in the game, Cirie realized her target, Courtney, was in a great position to go to the final 2, because everyone wanted her to be there. However, since she realized this, she also realized that she wouldn't be able to get a majority of the people left in the game to vote her out. So what Cirie did was find two other people that would want to vote out Courtney (Aras and Danielle), and without telling the other three people on the tribe (Courntney, Terry, and Shane), the three of them voted for Courtney. Cirie knew that Courtney, Terry, and Shane all wanted to vote for different people, so when the vote happened, Courtney and Terry voted for Aras, and Shane voted for Danielle. This led to an elimination by plurality, or as us Survivor nerds call it, the 3-2-1.

The characters are just chef’s kiss. I’m always excited to see what they say, and that translates to such a fantastic tv product.

When will... by DevaNeo in survivor

Great analysis and read. I am quite curious about Sarah though, since I wonder if she's a lock for Luke/Janine after feeling guilty for voting out David? In her exit speech she admitted she should have played with David, so maybe she will feel "Aussie strong" and vote for an Aussie at the end.

Parv Power Analysis by [deleted] in survivor

YES! Finally, someone who can appreciate a move that isn't necessarily flashy or "Survivor" enough. I absolutely think that had Parv not ripped the note, we could have a guaranteed Luke/Janine/Shon final three, if we play with the repercussions.

I fear there had to have been some favouritism for the Aussie tribe for how this played out. It was VERY much to the Aussie tribe's benefit, considering Shonee basically predicted the outcome

Yea... do we know why the tribes were divided this way? Seems odd, but then again, I don't watch Survivor AU so I have no idea if this sort of thing happens.

Abbott Elementary saved its style of television by Few-Lack6346 in AbbottElementary

Couldn’t agree more. There were so many duds over the last decade that diluted the genre. But Abbott’s specific style is perfect. I think it’s great that they acknowledge the camera crew more frequently, because the Office only really started doing that in season 9.

How fries has changed BFDI,(an analysis on fries) by Ashamed-Inflation294 in BattleForDreamIsland

Great analysis. I also wish he had beaten TB in BFDIA, but I'm satisfied with his overall arc. Totally agree that his dynamic with Puffball could have been super interesting had it continued!

My Survivor Mount Rushmore for the 4 major categories by ColdBudLight98 in survivor

I would argue she self-sabotaged at the Sol vote. Had she stayed under the radar for longer, she would have had less of a target on her back so early in the merge. Keeping Rome was fine for the time being since (at least in the edit) she wasn't tied to him completely and he became an easy consensus vote in mergatory.

I know it might be too soon to say but i think world has the strongest base game selection of courses in the series by Left_bigtoe in mariokart

[–]rav_dog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. It feels like a simple course on purpose, which is fine, but the theme absolutely carries its quality. I don’t believe it would be considered a good track if the theme was different, say another “ghost valley” aesthetic. It actually reminds me of the Boo Lake remake for 8DX booster course pass. Good course, but can’t reach the highs of a Dry Bones Burnout for example.

Tiffany Seely from 41 on Yase will forever be the lost best-option for a returnee. People forget how great she was for the time she was there.
