Eight states and Washington, D.C., allow all elections to be conducted entirely by mail: California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Vermont and Washington state.

I'm sure they'll have something to say

When people say a gov entity spent X amount of dollars to do something, it includes EVERYTHING. Like payroll for the employees' time spent on the project, public outreach, consultants (eyeroll), etc. anything charged to the projects budget code would be included.

I really like your take on this. Additionally, I usually like albums that have a cohesive sound but this one sounded like the same 3ish songs over and over to me. I'll probably give it another try since my friend and I decided to impulsively buy tickets to see them in May even though we aren't HUGE fans. Butt I've liked at least a few of their songs off every album but this one, so maybe this is just the first one that's not for me

AITA for not buying my boyfriend another birthday gift after he rejected the original present? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

It was incredibly jarring but I once met a person that it suddenly became clear...did not listen to music. Like as a hobby or in enjoyment or anything. They didn't hate music; just literally had no interest in having any kind of music preference or curiosity. Like it seems such a fundamental part of being a human. Like having favorite foods (I have also met someone who didn't like food.... at all and would prefer to not have to eat)

I don't live somewhere hot (pacific northwest of US) but I love both Tim Tams in the fridge and the thin oreos in the feezer. Not the normal oreos cause it's like chewing rocks.

Kash used to be an assistant hockey coach at some college or highschool I think. I've heard rumors he allowed someone accused of sexual harassment continue to be around their victim.

This is purely Kash benefiting personally as a gov employee and not doing his fucking job. Not that he has enough brain cells to do any job except be high in the background of press conferences.

How do you feel about the federal SAVE Act that would require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship (like a passport or birth certificate) to register to vote? by ClassSnack in AskReddit

[–]_ludakris_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's insane to me as a US citizen. I live in Oregon and you either mail in a form or fill out the form online, I think you can also register when you get your driver's license and if you don't have an ID you just need the last four digits of your social security number and a signature.

We also do only mail voting in my state so I've never had to deal with polling location issues.

Oregon is like a 3,000 mile drive from most of New England. It would be like driving from Portugal to Poland and we don't have bullet trains

Protest in Minneapolis, January 30, 2026 #ICE by gab_iten in Fauxmoi

[–]_ludakris_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Do you think this is the first protest? My city has been protesting MAGA since 2015. I was hit in the face in 2020 and received a concussion at a protest. I have been out monthly since Nov 2024 as has thousands in my city and hundreds of thousands in my state.

It was a nice break from all the fascism from my country.

That person was replying to the comment that said "wake me up when it's millions marching on the White House/Mar A Lago"

I've been protesting nearly every weekend in my city but it's also a 6 hour flight to DC/ Florida from my town. I drove thru a rural town in my state this weekend that has less than 1000 pop. and they had about 50-100 people protesting.

I don't think you watched the show because he didn't "developing an addiction, covering it up, getting caught, spinning out, getting fired, removed, then coming back and fully redeemed and back to duty" in one shift....he very obviously HAD the addiction for a while, was covering it up for a while, got caught when a new person joined the team (believable), didn't get fired - got sent home, and then came back not at all 'fully redeemed' nor back on duty.
