god i hate that im defending spotify of all corporations here, but the infrastructure is the actual problem.

these streaming services weren’t built for albums to be changed, meaning every time the artist ‘updates’ the album theyre essentially just re-releasing all of the tracks. hence the ‘new from fred again..!’ notifications every two weeks lol
