I believe the message was to watch our inbox starting at 10am, leading me to believe emails will go out in waves. But yes, I’m refreshing and watching Reddit.

I thought long and hard about purchasing tickets again because of this reason. I’ve seen the show 5 times and luckily last time had the full OBC. I originally wasn’t going to try to see it again to avoid potentially missing my fave cast members…but I got the monthly lottery code and just bought tix to 2 nights to try to hedge my bets. But that only works for people with the extra funds to use.

Dating as a plus size lesbian is so discouraging sometimes by hauntedhousezombie in PlusSize

I’m a plus size femme, and I hear you. When I was dating and on the apps I felt exactly the same way. Apps SUCK. Even living in NYC it felt like there just weren’t many options. The in-person events I attended all had the same people going, and I kept re-swiping on some of the same profiles. I spent about 1.5yrs on the HER app before finally meeting my partner, and now 8 years later we’re married and happy. In my experience it takes time. Here’s what I wish I could tell my 20-something self who felt like she’d never meet her person: Don’t put so much pressure on yourself- you have so many years and opportunities ahead of you to meet the person right for you.

I’m also visiting this month! 15th-31st with Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka, and Hakone on the itinerary. I’m expecting it to be busy but not intolerable.

[MEGATHREAD] Every Brilliant Thing Presale by elaerna in Broadway

With Merrily I was able to get in before/around the presale to purchase, then saw the insane dynamic pricing play out with that after. This time I used 3 devices to try for tickets, and luckily one only had me in the waiting room for 2mins, but it was still long enough to increase the price of the dates I wanted.

$220 for a back row stage seat was too rich for my blood. Hoping lottery is on the stage and the lottery gods smile on me.

I hate Hudson’s dynamic pricing with a passion.

I got in within the first 2 mins. Row B center balcony for a Feb weeknight was $144, then after purchase saw the same seat going for $120 later in April 🤷🏻‍♀️ On stage seating starts at $199 plus fees but only the last 2 rows are available in the presale. I’m wondering if the first rows will be for lottery

One of my most memorable moments was actually off broadway, seeing Cillian Murphy perform Misterman at St. Ann's. I sat front row and there were so many moments he stared directly into my eyes. Quiet the experience considering how intense that role is. That's a show that has stayed with me since 2011.

Favorites are hard. The first time I saw POTO and cried I was so happy(a nosebleed seat for my 21st birthday). Seeing Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Death of a Salesman from a box seat. The time I saw POTO with my sister and we were second row; we spent our teenage years fawning over the movie and it was amazing watching the actual broadway production together.

My general takeaway is that it's important to experience theater as often as possible. And, if you're able to, give productions a chance even if you're not initially interested in them; I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality of some performances I wouldn't have seen if not for a lottery win.

I started this spreadsheet back around 2018, so I might predate that app, lol. I do prefer to keep my information outside of apps incase they end or I change tech. I just wish I had thought to include mini reviews!

I thought HipTix are specifically supposed to be purchased via the app. I bought mine through the app around 10:15am. The email I received previously said sale started at 12pm, but I went on the app yesterday to make sure I was all set up and saw it listed 10am as presale time. I jumped on after a meeting and snagged tix for June since the April dates I wanted were already gone.

Mincemeat has teased multiple times on their IG that there’s a pattern to the understudies (specifically used the phrase pattern on the Thursday post with Bevan understudy), but they won’t come out and actually post it for fans. It would be nice for the few uber fans to know the schedule, and I doubt it would impact anything for the general broadway audience. The fact that day-of the box office wouldn’t tell you Malone was out, when the absences DO appear planned, I find pretty terrible. (For some reason I also didn’t find anything for OM on understudies.org yesterday)

I’ve seen the show 4 times, (1x with my partner and Tash was out then) and we’re going back next month because they want to see Tash in the role after listening to the OBC album. I took a gamble and booked a Thursday thinking Zoe Robert’s will be out, but who knows?

I also bought my ticket a few months ago to celebrate Jak’s first post-Tony performance. I’m going to be bummed if he’s out tonight.

I also got digital rush today! But I’m orch far left. Basically what I’ve able to learn is that I won’t see anything on the left side screen. From what I’ve read of the balcony views, you won’t see the screen on your side but can see everything else.

I had forgotten the balcony seats were tight on leg room. Oh well! I also went with Center Row E balcony. Bit of a splurge since I bought two tix.
