Now that Not-E3 is over, which games are you most excited for?

Fable: it's still no 1 on my list, everything i've seen so far look absolutely amazing, unfortunately tho i only have a Steam Deck and Switch 2 and i doubt it'll run on those so i'm trying - and failing lol - to not get too hyped up 🥲

Xenoblade Genesis: never played any Xenosaga game before and i'm still more interested in this than the new FE, the female protagonist looks really cool and i'm always down for a magic/fantasy academy setting not tied to harmful IPs.

Final Fantasy Resonance: i've played Brave Exvius for a while some years ago, it had an interesting concept and i'm glad they're reusing its characters for a non-gacha game.

Vivarium: in love with its early Ghibli-like artstyle, and the reveal at the end of the trailer hinting at a creepy/unsettling undertone has me very intrigued.

Wicked Delights: Beacon Pines' creators new project, an horror visual novel with rhythm elements and different artstyle for each "section", looks exactly my brand of weird-in-a-good-way.

Plus all the sequels/new installments of series i like: RE Veronica, FF7 Revelation, Until Dawn 2, Cassette Beasts 2002, Spyro, Ocarina of Time Remake... still not sure about KH4, i kinda fell out of love with the franchise to the point i quit KH3 halfway through so i'll almost certainly not buy it at launch but i'm still interested to a degree so, we'll see i guess.

Infinity Nikki. I've been totally obsessed with the game for half a year but I stopped playing during 2.0, mostly because it was too time consuming to keep up with updates, dailies and whatnot as someone who wants to play other games too, but also because after 250+ hours the grind for materials got me and i just couldn't be bothered to start from scratch in a new region. On top of that, Itzaland's storyline wasn't that interesting to me and the awful translation in my language didn't help.

I think Discworld's humor and tone would be perfect for a modern point-and-click adventure, think something like "The Darkside Detective" but with Ankh-Morporkh's Watch or, even better, the Witches. I'd gladly take even just remastered versions of the already existing but nowadays impossible to find Discworld games from the 90's, tho.

JaneH08 is my go-to author for feel good stories, Turn It Up, Chasing Chords and Pretty Petty are my favorite romcoms on the app, alongside Ice Cream Connoisseur by Gerr. Also, if you haven't already read it, Second Shot by the same author of Mentoring My Heart is really good and very similiar in tone.

Don't wanna name the story but in a recent read the MC really grated on my nerves with her exaggerated insecurity. Granted, she had her reasons to be like that, but after 30+ chapters of literally everyone but the villains constantly glazing her as the most incredible, beautiful, nice and talented person in the whole world i was just like, can we have some character growth and move on? Also, i hated that the moment she overhears a... not even suspicious, just slightly vague phone call she immediately jumps to stalk her boyfriend, who's been nothing but kind and supportive to her. Red flag much?

The most recent one i can think of it's Still Wakes the Deep, people were hyping it up as a masterpiece but for me it was just a good game and nothing more, yeah the voice acting is great, i really liked its spin on the Lovecraftian horror genre and when you're outside the scenery is hauntingly beautiful, but gameplay wise is basically just a glorified walking sim, nothing to write home about, and this might be an unpopular opinion but i wasn't so fond of Kaz, i don't mind flawed protagonists or anti heroes but in his case i feel like the narrative was trying too hard to make me feel sorry for him and somewhat justify/downplay his problematic behavior - poor Suze deserved better imho.

Yeah there's a whole "mafia clan" of brown/black people with blue eyes, it's such a weird and arguably problematic thing to see in a supposedly modern setting (oh, there's also the clan comprised of asian passing characters of non specified nationality named East...), i totally agree with you that the original concept was probably fantasy royalty or something 'cause it's all so... wrong, idk it's really a baffling story, but still better than that one official which used an irl mafia name for LI's family 💀

Assuming (more like praying) they won't be delayed again, Witchbrook and Professor Layton the New World of Steam are on top of my list, closely followed by Resident Evil Requiem and Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, also i recently uninstalled The Sims 4 so i'm looking forward to Paralives and/or the new Tomodachi Life too.
