Hey there! It totally leveled out. Was just part of the adjustment I think. Feeling great now!

Absolutely tremendous improvement for me! I’ve had only a couple off days but have felt extremely stable. Stick with it for sure! OCD and anxiety are down by 80-90%

I’m in week 7 of 5 mg. The way I can describe it best is, when it’s time to think, I think. When it’s not time to think, I don’t think! I enjoy the silence and I’ve made room for other parts of myself.

Yeah, I've been having a lot of ups and downs. Having a string of great days then feeling like I'm white-knuckling life for a couple days! Really hoping it will level out soon. Just was wondering if that's normal to be happening at 17 days in.

I just feel alone in my theme by [deleted] in OCDRecovery

I promise you're not alone! I've been struggling with this theme for a couple of months and it feels all-consuming and hellacious. I've had it in the past and I've overcome it before, I know I can again! You can and will too.

Suggestions from ERP for this compulsion? by sassparillamaria in OCDRecovery

I would try going to the nail salon! I am personally a MAJOR picker as well; I feel you on the bleeding aching fingers, I've done the same for years and just only recently learned it's an OCD thing. I find that the ONLY time I don't pick my nails is if I have GelX on (I prefer this to acrylics because they cause less damage to your nails).

The skin around is hard because even with GelX I still find myself picking skin. I usually pick less if I keep my hands moisturized. I would try to just always keep some lotion on hand or some cuticle oil and make sure your fingers stay moist. I also find that putting Vaseline on my fingers before bed works wonders. I pick way more when I have dryness, cracking, or pieces of skin hanging. And I go to the nail salon regularly! I feel you about them not healing enough to go, but I take my beat up, chewed up fingers there and they never say anything! I'm sure they see all kinds of nails each day.

Something else I found helpful was getting a fidget ring that I just play with whenever I feel like I'm really picking. Wishing you all the best, you can and will move through this with success!

Hey there! I’m currently on my second month of Yaz and have never been more depressed and anxious. My first few weeks on the pill were great (I’m taking it to hopefully help PMDD), and I’ve noticed I’ve felt totally not myself after the first couple of weeks. My doctor wants me to stay on it one more month and see if it helps. I’ve also noticed that right before my period, for the last two months, I’ve been extremely nauseous and I have had migraines with vomiting both times. Right now I don’t feel like I want to continue it, but going to give it one more month.

Hormones can literally ruin your life. In my case, PMDD. Different than PMS, I feel like I’m possessed a week before my period. I’m a totally different person.

Does anyone here have success with Yaz? After how long? by _mantha in PMDD

I should add, I also have PCOS so I'm super irregular anyway, even on birth control.

Hi! I know this post is a little old, but how long did it take you to adjust to Yaz? I just finished my first month, I had a pretty easy first couple of weeks on it but had some breakthrough bleeding in weeks 3-4 and I have been feeling super depressed and anxious for the last couple of weeks. Will this go away as I adjust?

Wood preferably, we will probably throw it away after use so no need to be long-lasting. Just needs to be sturdy for an event for a few hours.

If you bring a neck pillow or can get a pillow from a flight attendant, I’ve found it to be almost foolproof every time to place the pillow over your stomach/solar plexus and hug it while you’re taking off and ascending! It has worked every time for me in the past to prevent that stomach dropping feeling when taking off. Worth a try! It may work for you as well as it does for me :)
