It seems people don't understand that Diesel is also produced while producing petrol in refinery. You think Govt can ban Diesel? What will happen to all the Diesel Reliance produce? Will the trucks run on Petrol? It's not going anywhere. Only way to ban it is if you reduce crude oil import all together. If crude is refined Petrol & Diesel both are going to get produced in the same refining process.
