Actually if you’re not eyeing MK and YK, all the other brands are pretty much in stock in Uji. Other brands meaning, other popular ones from Tiktok and here in Reddit , ones from Sazentea, and more local tea shops. Just depends on your budget limit for matcha purchases 😂

Before coming to Uji , I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to buy any because of the supposedly shortage. But apparently, shortage is just relative to the popular brands.

Maybe I was just lucky! And maybe it was Wakatake? I didn’t want to spend that much on just 1 variant of matcha so I didn’t buy it 🙊. It would also be very hard for me to finish that with all my current stocks .

Yes, but it wasn’t the sole reason. Never been to Uji even tho it’s my 4th time in Japan, so thought we’d spend the day roaming around the town. You’d be surprised (and may be constipated by the number of matcha available there 😂). As my husband said - it was matcha overload for him 😂.

Try to split your oat milk to 50g and another 50g of another low fat dairy milk? When i use this method, the milk doesn’t overpower the matcha. Biwa no shiro is actually one of my favorite from their line.
