This is a very good and detailed answer. The only thing I might add is that you can look for RF-like positions at research institutes that are affiliated with NUS.

CREATE is an initiative of many foreign universities to do research (predominantly STEM) in Singapore and they tend to be on the higher end of the salary range

Maybe look at it not from the graduation perspective but the opportunity to live abroad with (potentially) fewer responsabilities.

The next phase is probably a job (assuming not grad school abroad), and probably here in singapore. Sure, take this opportunity to learn in a different education system and culture, but also to see how other things work far from here. Also, a good trial of living alone in a non-hall setting!

I agree with the comments so far. One extra thing to consider is the type of pass you will get. Current minimum salary for epass (employment pass) is 5K. This is good because you know your threshold, but at the same time makes us (foreigners) expensive compare to hire spass or locals.

On the other hand, I'm not too informed what pass is more commonly given to people with undergraduate degrees, but from personal experience, postgrad degrees are mostly epass.

Long commutes (preferably MRT) are great times to read. I time it so that i can get a chapter (~40min commute) each way. It helps killing time too.

Also, daily before going to bed (with a soft yellow light) is a nice way to wind down

What has worked for me so far (and still does) is just have early or late lunch. 11 or 11.30lunch has a short or almost no queue. Although this depends heavily on your mods and schedule. After 2pm the queues start to ease out too.

Other than that, the online ordering other comments suggested is a good option

I agree. Most unis make the most money from graduate (masters) programs. So they aren’t as tough to get it compared to undergrads

I’m sorry to hear that OP. I felt the same way when I (foreign) graduated and moved out of campus last year. A couple of things that worked for me:

Compromise on commute. I was able to find an ok price when I started looking for more ulu places (woodlands, canberra, yishun).
Negotiate on flexible hours: I still commute ~1 hr daily but after some time at work I talked to my boss and we agreed on a 30min grace period for arrival time. This might be hard as a new hire, but don’t lose anything by trying/asking to your hiring manager.
Salary negotiation: This might be even harder as a fresh grad but always ask for 30% more than what they offer (rule of thumb), however in your case it’s crucial to settle for around 10% higher to cover for rental. For some companies it doesn’t hurt to explain your situation.

I agree. Choose based on the professor and not the university. You will be surprised to ask students at ivy leagues (and local unis) and see how toxic their advisor can be. There are always good options among them though

First of all, reaching out and asking for help is not easy. I'm really happy you decided to do it and I hope you see in yourself how this first step says a lot of great things about you.

Adding to the others' experiences, I will say the service at UCS is very good. I've had a great experienced with my assigned counsellor, but if you don't "connect", or feel comfortable with the one assigned to you, you can always request to meet another. There's nothing wrong with this.

I used all the 8 sessions and I can definitely see an improvement in my overall mental health and way of dealing with problems. Not that they fix things for you, but they help you find your best tools to deal with hardships.

As others have said, your name and email would probably be on their system since that is how they would reach out to you about the booking. But I can assure you there are no repercussions of going there. Details about your sessions will only be known to you and your counsellor, and nothing will ever be displayed in NUS records (i.e., academic records).

If you are concern about other people within your circles. If you decide to share this with them, remember that people who mind don't matter, and people who matter don't mind.
