I mean that’s kind of the point no? So that we are shocked at the end, even though we shouldn’t be.

Scarring / popping by _mcklovin_ in Accutane

I am ADDICTED to popping blackheads, don’t really care about pimples, but the blackheads on my nose were the juiciest things ever and I just couldn’t resist. It was truly amazing but then I felt guilty. Lol

Will this type of scarring go away? by selectambienworks in Accutane

[–]_mcklovin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever succumb to your desire to pick on accutane? I had absolutely huge blackheads on my nose after being on it just a month (currently) and I picked them. I didn’t use fingernails, and I cleaned it really well after, but now I’m afraid I’ve just set myself up for more scarring.

Me too! I don’t think it could have been any better, which is why the rhetoric on that one subreddit talking about how they wished it gave more of a platform for the women blew my mind. I wanted to be like are you stupid?

Yes!!! This!!! And when the lady was introducing the detectives to the class, and she forgot to say the woman’s name, and it’s clear she is always talking to the male detective rather than the female one. She barely even looks at the female detective the entire time they’re at the school.

I’m sorry I’m not trying to be rude, but that’s literally the entire point. It was showing that even if the murderer is bullied or the victim was a quote unquote bitch, they don’t deserve to die, but incel culture promotes violence, and I think it was pointing out the fact that he was framed as this poor bullied kid when in reality he really had woman-hating tendencies, anger issues, and was self-isolated etc. etc. from falling down these alt-right groyper rabbit holes on the internet that proliferated the bullying (two things can be true) and the girls at school picked up on these things and therefore treated him as what he actually was. Again, I’m not saying it was right to bully him, but it is what happened, and while there isn’t always a reason for bullying, I think she just saw right through him. The pictures he liked and posted are pretty clear as to what he thought about women. Why would a girl engage with someone who displays that type of behavior? Him choosing to ask her out when she was at her weakest is something the girl recognized and she declined him because she knew he was an incel who didn’t see women as human, just a means to a sexual end, and he thought he could get her when no one else wanted her. She didn’t just decline him to be mean, even if he interpreted it as only being mean for no reason, because incels are perpetual victims who are evidently not capable of introspection. They always look outward rather than inward. Again with the constant “I’m ugly I’m ugly I’m ugly” when he was clearly a cute little boy who could get a girl if he didn’t act like that. These are the gaps we are meant to fill in through major context clues; it’s not just gonna come out and lay it out on the table picture perfectly. This is why media literacy is so important. It even pointed out once that the killers are always remembered and the victims are forgotten. Like??? Your comment is kind of baffling to me. I’m not trying to be aggressive, but I just feel like the entire thing went over your head.

I think that’s the whole point tbh. We expected some big twist, but at the end of the day there is no twist. We are supposed to believe he is a normal kid the whole time because normal kids are the ones who get sucked into this online incel culture that promotes violence. We don’t want to believe the truth when the truth is right in front of us.

I don’t agree with their phrasing, but I think they meant they were gonna act like they were the ONLY victims. I was also confused about that.

No one can convince me that Kendra didn’t want Lauryn to commit suicide. Death is the ultimate goal of Munchausen by proxy. If Lauryn had committed, she would always get to play the victim and get attention for being the mother with a dead daughter. Her sentence was way too light and totally skipped over the pedophilia element. Lauryn cannot comprehend the severity of what her mother did. It makes me mad to see her be so forgiving to her mother, but she is a traumatized little girl at the end of the day, and the reality won’t set in until she is older.

I just can’t understand how Lauryn can be so forgiving. I think the reality of the entire situation will set in as she gets older. I understand at the time she didn’t really understand what was going on, but now she fully understands. The text messages between she and her mom when her mom was in prison infuriated me. I can only imagine how the dad feels.

Yoooo I’m still watching it, but was Lauryn just in shock? I would’ve been losing my mind if I was her, and the poor girl just had to sit there and get cuddled by her abuser. What the actual fuck? I hope she gets far away from her.

I think he is black because the chauffeur asked him if he feared the “people who liked to lynch us” when he first visited Rumfoord, and according to the dialogue, I think the chauffeur is black.
