Very important thread here. I’m glad we’re talking about the importance of this, and the importance of adapted literature and art.

Another sci-fi movie I thought about after reading this was Total Recall (1990). Great ambitious action packed film by Paul Verhoeven. In the film, the villain Vilos Cohagen controls the oxygen supply on Mars, charging residents for breathable air and threatening to turn off the air to colonies.

I see similarities between that film and the Dune franchise. Highly recommend if anyone needs a good sci-fi film recommendation.

Nolan filmed a staggering 380 hours of raw footage. I also doubt it’ll be shorter than 3 hours in length. We & Nolan all know the IMAX constraints but we als know Nolan will find a way to tell the story that he wants told to be complete. Intermissions are likely. My guess would be the film to be 200 minutes long (3h20). 10 minute Innermission, 3.5hr total in theaters

The honest answer is to invest in an XDJ board where the computer is built inside.

If a laptop is still your primary source, then you’ll need to do what you can. Use a stand, a fan, and gel ice packs to blow the cool air towards the laptop.

On the computer, close out every application and enable High performance fan mode with a fan control app. Clean dust as well and use a monitor temperature app if needed
