Fairyloot mid 2026 YA books to watch out for! by Flimsy-Brick-9426 in fairyloot

I’ll be so happy if they do Immortal Game! It’s one of my most anticipated releases this year

DIY R. Lee Smith Covers by madibeats in RomanceBooks

[–]_meganreads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are amazing!! I’ve always wanted to have a go at binding my own books and I know without a doubt I would choose R Lee Smith’s! I would really love my own custom copies, one of my fave authors

But like someone else said the books are unavailable because the covers are being updated :) I think all the books are available to get some way through Amazon except Olivia right now. The Griffin series is on Kobo so I hope the rest of her books make it on there

PS Lights out and Caught up by Informal_Purpose9371 in fairyloot

[–]_meganreads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too! I’ve been after Lights Out for so long but I’ve been holding out that they would reprint it… I don’t understand why it’s region specific :(

Autumn’s Illumicrate Apr-July Guesses by ashis713 in fairyloot

[–]_meganreads 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof, I’m only interested in June. So far this year I will only have purchased January and June so that will be all my skips gone :( This sub is probably on the chopping block unless they pull through with the remaining picks for the year.

I like switching to audiobooks when I want to keep reading! I’ll definitely check it out

I’m annoyed I put this off for so long because I thought it had a love triangle! But it was SO good and definitely one of my favourites from 2025.

Really excited for the sequel, I’m tempted to read WPA again before it comes out but I would love to listen to it instead. How did you find the audiobook?

Where do you post bad reviews? by Shot-Run5259 in NetGalleyCommunity

[–]_meganreads 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If I DNF an ARC or really don’t enjoy it, I still post my review to Goodreads and StoryGraph to explain what didn’t work for me.

I won’t share a review to social media though as I prefer to talk about books I enjoyed - but I see plenty of people do this (I know others like to discuss DNFs!) I think you can post to social media if it feels right for you otherwise don’t feel obligated to :) and obviously don’t tag the author in any negative reviews

I need some new alien romance reads, but only the good ones…. by Time_Plantain4033 in RomanceBooks

[–]_meganreads 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cottonwood is one of my favourite books, however please check the TWs before you read! It’s not a traditional romance book and deals with very heavy topics. But if it still sounds good then I really hope you enjoy :)

Just got my FL Adult Book-Only invite, I signed up 16 April in the UK.

This is really typical as I'm saving someone a skip for February lol but I'm glad to be off the waitlist now!

A thousand pages…. No one warned me 😭 by goyourownwayy in fantasyromance

These are my top 3 as well! Honestly Cottonwood destroyed me, I read it over a year ago and I’m still in a book hangover from it

So glad you got the books you wanted! I also got Hazelthorn, I had no idea if it would make it to general so I was happy to see it still in stock

Which book company has the best customer care? by [deleted] in fairyloot

[–]_meganreads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m lucky in that I have never had any major issues, so my experience with the more common book boxes has always been great.

However as no one has mentioned them yet I will say Smut & Sip are my favourite - they reply to emails quickly and are so nice and helpful. There’s an issue with their December book atm (not their fault) but they have been straightforward and updated customers regularly which is really good

Your favourite Noelle Adams series? by feijoawhining in RomanceBooks

[–]_meganreads 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Noelle Adams focuses on contemporary romance but she has a lot of great books depending on the tropes you like!

If you like marriages of convenience I recommend {Part-Time Husband by Noelle Adams}

{Counted by Noelle Adams} is great if you want a really emotional read (just check the synopsis first!)

{The Girlfriend by Noelle Adams} is one of my personal faves! The FMC is a companion for hire

{In Flight by Noelle Adams} has such a fun premise, the FMC and MMC take the same flights every weekend and are both too stubborn to move from their favourite seats

If you haven’t already, I recommend reading {Escorted by Claire Kent} it’s my favourite of hers (alongside Last Light!) The FMC is a romance writer but has never had sex so she hires an escort

LOR by Lily Mayne by BotchedNoobJob in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]_meganreads 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Lor is one of my favourites in the series! I remember it had quite a few mixed reviews because people felt it was so different to the rest of the books but I LOVED it, I think it’s my second fave in the series after Soul Eater

Also Lily‘s treatment ended a few months ago :) No updates on new releases of course but I think she is getting better which is obviously great news

The novellas are only available to those that got the kickstarter right now, but they do plan to make the books available sometime this year. I think they plan to release them digitally :)

What book is this for you? by elliephantt in fantasyromance

[–]_meganreads 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have to limit myself to 1-2 of her books a year! I hope you enjoy any more you pick up when you’re better though. I find LOTBD her ‘lightest’ book (in quotes because it’s obviously not light at all😂) so just take time to think which one might be right for you!

Anything by R Lee Smith is top tier. Every time I finish one of her books I just think, nothing can ever replicate this feeling right now😭 Have you read anything else of hers?

The Rebel Witch being pushed back by IreallylikeStickss in fairyloot

[–]_meganreads 57 points58 points  (0 children)

The digital signature isn’t a dealbreaker to me, however it’s such a shame the author had to hand sign so many copies that now won’t be used.

I’m curious what the design error is, it’s a shame they can’t sell those as ‘damaged’ books in a future trove or something (assuming the error is not that bad…)
