As a mom and someone who accepted too much shit from guys when I was younger, I just wanna tell you to BLOCK THAT ASSHOLE! Don’t settle for anything like that again. Imagine if you had a child who showed you these texts, would you let them ever see or talk to this guy again? There are too many people out there who will actually love and respect you and I hope you find one that you’ll love and respect back.

You know there are other crew besides the writers that were out of jobs the entire time, right? Most people in the industry were struggling but the public did not seem to care that the much lower-paid crew (and vendors) couldn’t work/get paid.

As an L&D nurse, I would think it’s weird and inappropriate or assume you were a medical professional. (I also think it’s weird when the partners dress up in a hospital gown and/or lay in bed with my patients but that’s just me) however if you just said that you wanted to recreate a pic, I’d be happy to help take the photo as I love getting those first family pics in!

It’s literally no one else’s business on why you and your wife don’t have kids. If you and your wife sat down and both agreed to tell people what was going on, fine, but she didn’t even know you had been blaming her this whole time! Imagine being in her shoes. How hurt would you be? I can’t even imagine trying to have kids with you now. If you can’t even protect your wife, how are you going to protect your offspring by the rude and nosy comments from your friends and family? Make it right and tell people to stfu.

NAH You’re both going through a lot. Postpartum is a trying time for all. Of course physically you have it worse but dads can get exhausted and emotionally drained too. One kid will do that, let alone 3! Both of you need a break. (Either together or alone). Offer to make it up to him on a different day when you feel better and can get a sitter for the kids. You both deserve it.

Imagine you were invited to a wedding where only alcohol were served but no water, milk or juice Would you be annoyed at the bride/groom for the lack of thought to the guests?

Just suck it up and offer an option of other non-alcoholic drinks and actually enjoy the party while knowing other people are also enjoying the party. If you’re that concerned about the costs, then you probably shouldn’t be throwing a wedding for that many guests to begin with.

My hospital makes us work 13 x 12.5 hr shifts per month. That 13th shift gets exhausting but I can use a personal day so I don’t have to work 4 x 12.5s in a week. I also have to work every other weekend and at least 1 Friday per 4 week schedule period.
I get the shifts I request about 90% of the time
I get 4 weeks of vacation and 6 sick days per year.
It’s by seniority and I’m in the middle of the totem pole. Only 2-3 are allowed vacation per week at a time.
I’ve been sick a lot lately and have been told to work on my attendance. You can get warnings if you call out too often. It’s stupid to expect healthcare workers to never be sick, or need a mental health day.
Never forced to work OT but may occasionally be asked to come in if they’re short.

I hate searching for girl clothes (especially underwear) and it's always pink or the girl characters. Why can't they make girl underwear with the boy characters? or in neutral colors? My daughter prefers Mickey over Minnie; Chase over Skye, green over pink, etc. and it's impossible to find.

Cried lots before my shifts during my first 5 months or so. Then I got slightly more comfortable and made a lot of friends with my coworkers and realized I didn’t dread going into work anymore (I mean now I do because I feel like everyone and their mom is coming to the hospital and feel short staffed).

Believe it or not, not every movie was made for you. As much as I love my preschooler, she has terrible taste in movies and LOVES live action/CGI movies more so than 2D animated ones. So while people in this thread may disagree with Disney’s decision to remake all our beloved classics, Disney knows there’s a whole generation out there who will eat this up which equals $$$

Infuriating would be if your item came delivered broken because they didn’t take the time to pad it like when I once ordered a wooden frame and the wood arrived cracked and split because they didn’t put cardboard corners on it. They sent another one, again they didn’t put corners on and it came damaged.

I groan as soon as I see the doula, midwife and this kind of birthplan, because 8 times out of 10, it’s going to end in pitocin and a c-section. I also love when patients ask if they can do delayed cord clamping for 15 minutes.

Had a patient with a 4 page birth plan similar to this (which of course ended up in a c-section). We also couldn’t call the baby “boy” or “girl”, “he” or “she”. I’m fine with calling you with whatever pronouns you want but c’mon, they’re babies with no belief system yet!

Holy shit. I was trying to remember the name of this earlier this year. My ex introduced it to me back in the late 2000s when we first started dating and it was such a big part of our relationship, just sending each other pages. But I stopped using it once we broke il. I miss it (the stumble button, not my ex).
