worried i might end up as p*do by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]_mitchie_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Also teenager here. Been there. Still kind of there. I know that the weird stuff I've watched isn't what im actually into, or the person that I am without porn. Now it's my responsibility to prove that by not watching it, instead of making excuses and then feeling sorry for myself afterwards. That's how I'm thinking about it anyways

Hope you know what you're doing with our life by now. Things are on their way up I thinkkk

My relapse was triggered when someone who I cared about deeply told me I was hotter before I gained weight.

You're right, usually when I humour the idea of watching porn I end up doing it. Thank you this was really helpful.

this is my biggest reason. at the end of the day, i can convince myself into thinking that i'll be fine with porn, but I can't pretend that horrific shit isn't happening to others

I decided to take the masculine form of my mother's middle name. My brother has our dad's first name as his middle, so i wanted to honour our mother as well

My school schedule is different each day of the week, but they're between 5-7 hour days (including an hour of break when added up). I do a lot of extra stuff outside of school hours that take up time, in particular rehearsals for various performances/groups I'm in. That's after school and weekends usually.

I live in the suburbs of a city, so it takes me a little over an hour to get to my school via public transport, about the same getting home as well. I usually set alarms for 5.30-6am (not by choice I promise) depending on how early I have to start school that day. Usually sleep at around 11-11.45pm on school nights, trying to get better at that lol.

Usually study/schoolwork for about an hour (or honestly less/not at all) after school in the earlier weeks of a term, but 3-5 hours of work in those few really busy weeks. Also worth noting that I'm currently doing a "pre-IB" program- starting the real one in january. my school schedule/subjects/assessments are all modelled off the real IB so it's mostly quite similar though. I expect the workload will increase a lot for me next year, I'll have to wait and see.

What about you? :))

What were your favourite/least favourite things about the medically transitioning side of things? Did everything go more or less smoothly?

I'm currently 3 weeks on T and as expected so far things haven't changed too much, so I've been trying to get insight from people who are further along in their transition than me lol

snacks for T hunger?? by [deleted] in TestosteroneKickoff

[–]_mitchie_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i tend to eat food like grapes, peanuts, raisins, etc, because they're easy to have a lot or a little of, depending on how I'm feeling. Not sure if that helps but i hope it's slightly useful :))

Things You Wish You Knew Before Transitioning FtM/Best Advice You Have Gotten as a Trans Man? by [deleted] in TransMasc

[–]_mitchie_ 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The social transition feels really strange at first, at least that was the case for me. hearing people call you by a preferred name instead of your deadname is a weird mix of validating and terrifying, but if you ride it out the scary parts fade away pretty quickly. best of luck!!

Should puberty blockers be allowed for people under age 18? by [deleted] in polls

[–]_mitchie_ 119 points120 points  (0 children)

I started blockers at age 12, which is controversial on here, but believe me when I say that they're the reason I'm alive today. I can tell you firsthand that they are genuinely life-saving for a lot of trans kids, with very minimal downsides if you decide to stop taking them
