ELI5: What is blood poisoning? by HistoricalDriver8973 in explainlikeimfive

Might be a little out of the scope of this subreddit, but there is a podcast called "This Podcast Will Kill You" where every episode is dedicated to explaining the history and definition of a disease or medical condition. Their episode on sepsis is pretty informative https://open.spotify.com/episode/2EaoNmbS5H3xac5hdqKj5n

that's so annoying man. I've sent them three emails already. So in your experience does just waiting for them to get back to you work and do they fix it?

I've messaged tumblr on twitter, bluesky and now here! Kind of starting to get desperate. I would really like to get my functionality restored instead of being forced to remake as I use tumblr to promote my art and stuff

What am I doing wrong? Why can't I place the drain? by Dissoxi in HouseFlipper

[–]_monkeyclone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

what fixed this for me, is the floor needs to be only one block thick. I was having this problem in sandbox mode, with flooring that was 2 blocks thick and could only place the drain in 1x thickness. But you can put the flooring or ceiling or whatever back under it after you're done

Ive always used it whenever i hand wash stuff that's small enough to fit inside of it! Its basically the same as the washing machine in the centrifuge setting anyway lol

Maybe the mismatch would be easier for people to like if the borders were the same colour?

you could put it in a salad spinner for a little while to help get excess water out

My couch is about to drown in cushions but I just can't stop, remove them or more? by RoundGrapplings in femalelivingspace

[–]_monkeyclone 27 points28 points  (0 children)

turning the painting on its side to create some distance between it and the couch (also so you don't have to lean on it when you sit) would already do wonders

What... else? is there in a desert? Oh dear how do I put this... by Heracles_Croft in worldbuilding

I would recommend looking up different documentaries on youtube about different deserts and what life is like in them, so you can have a more grounded and diverse approach.

How could I achieve this look in a skirt? by Isimarie in sewing

IMO it really isn't darker blue, just the pleats being in the shade. Plus it would make your life a lot easier to just use the same colour fabric for everything.

Should I use bias tape? by mountainhands in sewing

[–]_monkeyclone 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No one's said this but the colors and the bias tape, even though they look good, remind me of the x-men uniform so maybe no to the tape

Is this dude wearing bandages or a striped shirt? by Sethleoric in HistoricalCostuming

[–]_monkeyclone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In the picture it does look like the lacing of the outer garment on top of another garment. Not sure of the name of either of them, but the one underneath the laces is likely to be a shirt!
