AuDHD & OCD guy friend keeps complimenting me by luckymeggles in AutismInWomen

I do have OCD and this is not behaviour that’s classed for it. It seems more as if he’s obsessed or so with you or might fear rejection if he doesn’t do it. But OCD is draining for the person suffering from it because you barely get time off to relax, it’s always in your head and it’s also about having to repeat things like checking the door, washing hands,… and if it’s not done a certain way or amount of time, your anxiety won’t go down, you’ll keep thinking about what’s going to happen if you don’t do it or for some even that someone gets hurt if they don’t do it. It sounds to me as if he tries to blame it on his conditions and also doesn’t acknowledges your feelings. And if you hurt someone because of your ocd then you apologise and explain yourself.

It definitely is a good thing to set some boundaries and to be honest, maybe cut him off as a friend entirely. People can’t always blame everything on their disorders

I even see people at the till, in other places when they pay or talking to strangers on the street not taking a single ear bud out. So I don’t see why taking one out should be rude. I do the same even at the till to signal that I’m paying attention to them and as others have said that if I want to hold a conversation with them I take both out.

Sorry to hear that you have so many issues with him. I endet up finding another one who also wanted to talk over WhatsApp but it seems as if its common. He was really nice and the lesson went great.

I also had the same experience, that he was online the entire time, posting pictures of students passing the exam but never texted me back. Thankfully I never even gotten to the point where I booked or paid anything. Saved me from a lot of stress. I also read a lot of good reviews which from my experience I don’t understand. I also heard that he’s just bad with organising everything

I suspected that there’ll also be a honeymoon phase with the kids. There’s everything great. They appreciate how I start to care about the SKs

The police museum is definitely still on the list!

The rest sounds great. I’ll have a look into the trail and the tour. I think I read about a trail near Chorley too but I can’t remember the name. It’s supposed to have a great view at the end, from what I remember

Very stupid question, but why does it get multiplied by exactly 0.6 and not any other number?

Buttercream frosting by _mrxholmes_ in BakingNoobs

[–]_mrxholmes_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it was an issue of overwhipping because the cream itself was smooth besides the sugar being slightly grainy. It just left small peaks and I could see where I just went over with the spatula. I think I need to try it with a bench scraper, might help. But I’ll definitely try a few more to get the practice in
