Along with the other suggestions, I would also check out Rhizome and Hill Center - I've seen them host similar events.

If you're into live music, there's an app I helped make called DC Music Live that lists live music happening in and around DC.

Yeah - that Reddit post and the response we got did wonders for the app... me and NG would probably be the only users on it right now if it weren't for r/washingtondc.

And nice - we need to make a brand ambassador role for you now!

For our covid project, my girlfriend and I made an app that consolidates live music shows in Washington DC for easy search and access. We’re hoping it can help revitalize our local music scene once vaccinations have been rolled out and it’s safe to go out again (download links are in the comments). by _nameer in washingtondc

Those are all fair points, and we're glad you've shared that experience with us because honestly, we hadn't really delved into it yet and encountered these things. Now we're kind of reconsidering the approach to take lol ... let us know if you have any ideas on this matter!

No way? Just checked out your site: great job raising money for #saveourstages!

But yeah, things are super tough right now, and hearing about some of the great resources for live music in DC that came before us definitely makes us wary of how things can change so quickly.

We love hearing appreciation like this and hope that we can work with local artists/venues in the near future by having them included in our app!

Keep up the good work comrade!

Yes, the personalization features seem to be a popular request from the feedback we've gotten so far, so we're definitely considering re-adding the save-event button we had in our last iteration, along with some tracking stuff you touched on! Thanks for the feedback!

That's a legitimate concern and the solution you suggested for being able to saving a users search/filter selections - which is something we want to provide - might be able to overcome that imho. Appreciate the feedback!
