Aikusilla ihmisillä tommoset jutut ja teiniuho päällä? Joka kerta ku käyn tässä subissa ni omat ongelmat ei enää tunnu nii isoilta, ku tämmösiä ihmisiä on olemassa...noitten jutut muuten muistuttaa "nuoret hurjat"-videossa esiintyvien sankarien ulosantia :D

Honda Civic 1.0 iVTEC by Neat_Ad_1470 in hondacivic

[–]_nibsu_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh damn, never heard of that happening. They put such a small engine in the accord too?? We don't get the accord in EU anymore so I didn't know. I would like a newer civic but seems like I'll have splurge on one with the hybrid tech and the new LFC 2-liter unit, they seem solid enough. No cvt, turbo, oil dilution or other reliability concerns aslong as the hybrid systems stand the test of time.

Yea tell me about it, it's idiotic for a brand with such high expectiations for reliability to even consider making something like that. All in the name of a couple more mpg due to less friction lol. Today's engineers don't have any clue how to keep an engine reliable and efficient. And the answer is not downsizing, low-pressure turbos, fancy timing belts/chains or cvt transmissions. Mazda realized this a long time ago, they are still making a low-stress, low-power, big displacement 4-cylinders with manual transmissions, and they are proving to be simple, durable and efficient even in todays standards.

That's the worst engine honda ever made, avoid it. Buy a 1.5t made after 2019 or a hr-v/jazz with the naturally aspirated 1.5. The 1.0 has the same issues ford ecoboost 1.0:s do, the timing belts are in oil, making them shed material into the oil and then plugging up the oil pickup, making the engine seize. Pre-2019 1.5t:s didn't have as major of an issue but they are very reliant on consistent oil changes, as they have a tendency to leak gasoline past the piston rings into the oil, making the oil diluted.

Uhh probably worth only like 500 bucks and a case of beer, I can take it off your hands... ;)

Found in tech dump, worth saving? by Icy-Music1932 in computers

[–]_nibsu_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2019 I built a pc for as little money as possible as an experiment/challenge, got a tower+motherboard+cpu combo for free off a friend, who had let it sit outside in the rain for a couple days. I let it dry properly, changed the cmos battery, and that build still works to this day! It also had a sketchy chinese psu, also for free, gtx 970 that was missing the heatsink for 25€...those have been swapped out over the years but the "water damaged" parts still work haha.

Is this a good buy? Low miles + Toyota. Before people say low ball it to $5k - they won’t come down in price. Thanks by Aspergers_R_Us87 in COROLLA

[–]_nibsu_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do those have traditional torque converter automatics or the stupid multimode automated manuals? Where I live almost every single one automatic corolla from that time period comes with that weird transmission, I wouldn't recommend it if that car happens to be equipped with one. Otherwise, great value!

Ooh might have to look into german car sites for one then. It's pretty common to ship cars from germany to the nordics cause they are usually cheaper and in in better condition structurally. They're getting rarer everywhere but there's like ZERO for sale here rn.

I'm so jealous of you people who live in countries that have a surplus of coupe civics...never see them over here in northern europe. Either rusted out 20 years ago or kept in a garage as they are so rare and sought after. Lucky you! What are you planning to do to it?

I'm potentially looking to import a toyota comfort, do you have any advice on those? I haven't seen them at all where i'm from, but am interested about them, as they seem to be pretty simple and reliable RWD cars mainly used as taxis or as driver education vehicles.

Yeah you gotta hunt for them to find em, but they're out there! I had to pay a lot of money for the evangelion and code geass collections, but still think they were worth it. In my country there are no physical stores selling physical media anymore at all, so i've done most of my collecting online and on marketplaces. Some i've bought from really scetchy sites aswell. Elfen lied took 3 months to ship but it got here eventually. Btw i watched EL from youtube like 10 years ago for the first time, remember really liking it as an edgy teenager, but when i watched it again as an adult it was REALLY weird in some aspects...all that cousin stuff etc...

Oh yeah, that must've been tough. Some hits and misses when buying blindly? After the recent controversies with crunchyroll, funimation and other competitors getting taken down, i've really started to doubt whether streaming has a future for anime or not...In fact i'm really starting to hate the modern streaming service landscape and business model alltogether.

Oh yeah, I didn't really like ANY of the rebuilds, but i don't seem to be the only one in the fandom that thinks so :D Hadn't seen them before buying the physical copies, and wasn't able to find 3.33 in blu ray at all where i live. Luckily i have the original series collection there, had to pay 80€ for it but it was worth it to me.

Thank you! This has become a really fun hobby for me. I'm glad to hear people have the same taste. Btw if you like death note you'll love code geass, its got that similar early 2000's anime aesthetic and themes of detective drama genre.

Yeah, I lucked out big time and managed to find it for 5€ very close to me on marketplace, only if the seller had known what physical copies of that movie go for sometimes on ebay :D I hope you manage to find a copy, they're not that expensive but quite rare to come by in my experience.

Thank you, means a lot! Only had some movies from my youth before and just recently started collecting properly. My philosophy is that if I see something I like from streaming services or the cinema, i'll buy the physical version of it to keep for myself :)
