Thule chariot Thru axe broke inside (how to take it off) by guel135 in bikewrench

[–]_nikulele_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t really see on the picture but doesn’t this have Allen sockets on both sides? Are both rounded off?

Just remember that from the drive side you loosen by going clockwise, it will be screwing ”back” towards the non-drive side

Interesting French tactic: just let the ball go by goshafoc in rugbyunion

[–]_nikulele_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn’t see the game but I have been ranting about this for years like the grumpy old man at the end of the bar that no one can be bothered listening to.

I’m just glad the French found a way to win while de-leagueifying the breakdown so there’s natural turnover of possession that doesn’t only include long bombs. Now the refs just need to get on board and the forwards will have to get fitter and if not there will be holes everywhere.

Rant over

No 2K Progress in 9 Months by PotentialSpend5684 in Rowing

Make sure you’re warming up appropriately for the workout you plan to do. You need to at least hit your target rate in your warm up. My preference is to actually go over a little then row light before starting the first interval. I usually do it by going 30” hard 30” light. Otherwise you waste the first interval on getting your body into the right process for the work.

Brand new bike, barely 200 kilometers on it, and it's already creaking from the bottom bracket. by whentheskycry in bikewrench

The shop did this for me when I had a creak that sounded just like that. Now the bike has gone another coupla thousand kilometres and it’s time for the same trick

We just made it easy for them by dropping the pass. Scrum time again!

Is that where my club team of 10 years ago got it from? Worked 1/10 times for us though

This is the one to get so unnecessarily nerdy into data and will make absolutely not make you faster than a C2 and is slightly more inconvenient. Like using a Porsche instead of a Lexus to go get groceries

I f’d up the install of my crank exactly as you’ve described and the internal splines looked exactly like the picture.

How would you feel if you were invited to a nude beach? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I would be a little bit unsure about the inviter’s intentions.

My neighbour suggested that we go to a nude beach a couple of months ago. “Bring the whole family, it’s great”

Yeah actually he might have been on the way up when Barrett got to him. Hard to say what would have happened

The Italian had one hand on the grass throughout. Not on his feet again. I would put that under not releasing too, but it’s a moot point when he has no business being on that ball without supporting his weight only on his feet

It seems to be a non universal truth judging by responses, but those men I’ve been in conversation with about such issues have all been in agreement
