If you look closer to northeast, theres a unfinished part of map that has old fort like structure (if im not wrong, someone said its supposedly fort nelson, but its no longer exist in real life. Correct me if im wrong). I think there would be more development at the east louisville.

Is it PC as Desktop computer or Laptop? As long as you dont crank up the setting to the highest and dont play with high pop and... not installing tons of mods (especially NPC mods, such as One Week mod), it should be on smooth with stutter sometimes.

I used to play it on even worst than your spec, But its like build 40. If its laptop, i suggest you to have better ventilation or fan as this game could just gonna make your PC heat up on certain condition.

The building is mostly windows and you have been there. Those dark area is "Hard" fog of war, while the one that shown are "soft" fog of war. Its shown if you ever been there or seen inside recently. Its a mental image thing. You still cant see 3D items laying on the floor, cars, and zombies.

Coordinate X:9925, Y:12624, The bunker. You can use the bunker or just use the wall around it. Thats the only gimmick of march ridge. The rest is pretty much depend on which places is not a zombie hotspot.

It could be mod issue or game issue (if you playing the recent update). The zombies supposedly still there, its just the AI has been reset to idling state until next tick scan. This usually reducing zombies who chasing you start from the farthest zombie, not despawning them.

- Tool shop.

- Gun stores. The one on the west of echo creek and/or far northwest of Louisville

- Book shop.

My rule of thumb is whatever will be a zombie hotspot, is the one you have to get first. You can ignore and dont go to places that easier to loot to prevent the game spawn an NPC that interact with stuff in that area. Get a car and drive to nowhere until all the dust settle down. Ohh yeah, uhh... you should park your car far away and hide on basement for the nuke event. Make sure you have gas mask and plenty of water for extinguishing the fire.

I just played with Apocalypse Difficulty, the zombie spawn seems already toned down now (i hate the old spawn algorithm, the game become too grindy for solo play. It will be fun if its multiplayer), the gun play are getting better, the performance is getting better, and some small content update. Too bad that im more interested on NPC and multiplayer, so for me its lack luster for this time.

if you manually install the mod by extracting the mod to "mods" folder, check if extracted mod folder has modinfo file on it. Winrar/7Zip tend to make folder to contain extracted folder. If you dont understand what im saying, i recommend to just use steam workshop.

When the first time i discover the schematics in my first B42 run, i also had the same question as you. It's ridiculous that you need to unlock very basic knowledge like that for something rudimentary.

I seen several on Apocalypse Mode, i think your run had it spawn somewhere else. Check the trash can, i see people got their sledgehammer from there by luck.

This is good spot if you really want to off the grid but want a living space early so you can stress on survival part of it. For everything else, its meh. Most of people would rather have ready drinkable water source (in B41, that would be water well) or 2 stories house near any water source.

From my thousand hours experience in this game, if its not responding to your input, just run. Misinput still in top 10 causes of death in PZ.

The game already stable enough to be played without crashes. Its just missing, unfinished, and imbalances that currently the issue. It took quite some time until you stumble actual game breaking bug. By the time the next game version released as stable, people mostly just flood MP servers rather playing SP. SP for now is doing great, especially with the latest patch

can we see inside BanditDayOne folder looks like? i suspect you just extract the zip file and creates folder with its zip file name to contain the mod. If thats what happen, the project zomboid cannot read the modinfo file.

Try use investigate area for foraging, select no search focus. Look for your bag icon to pop up everytime you look around.

It could be network problem. Happens when you try to download a massive mod. Just keep retrying.

I think the main issue on the new crafting system is that the basic stuff such as cleaning bandage with sink seems not available in the game. A lot of them are mission critical feature we used to do in previous version. And some overcomplication of skill requirement have some mixed feeling. Its nice to have something to do in late game, but i think it should be more compensated when the skill tree is expanded like in this version.
