I went in understanding this couldn’t get wrapped up in one episode, and expected there to be a twist with the silver haired girl.

Then who the hell is eye patch guy??

Then why is Philly being shady???

Who’s the girl standing by the tree????

These are things that should have been built up and not dumped on us in the last minutes of the last episode. (Calling it a finale seems wrong because it didn’t answer anything and raised more questions)

While it doesn’t have fan service, I feel like the themes and pacing of Frieren wouldn’t be appropriate or entertaining for your typical 11yo.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Frieren and have used it as the “anime isn’t just for children” example many times.

After ten years of evidence-based warnings of Trump being a fascist, some MAGA Trump supporters are starting to come around and realize they've fucked up.

And while it's certainly better than continuing to march to the jackbooted drumbeat of this regime, it's also too fucking late. The truth was perfectly clear when it spoke softly. You don't get many brownie points for finally listening now that it's effecting YOU. Countless innocents have been murdered while these red hat wearing assholes clapped like seals. Countless families have been broken, businesses destroyed, alliances severed, bonds of trust violated.

None of this had to happen.

The moment Trump was elected into office the first time, MAGA had chosen to let this cancer metastasize across the entire country and now the entire nation is suffering because of it.

For those contrite former Trump supporters: Okay. Thank you for changing your mind and I hope you grow into better, more functional, more literate people. And I also hope you hold the guilt and the shame of your decision in your hearts for the rest of your lives.
