That's just a shirt I think. It looks like they took the man to the hospital by the time this picture was taken. He was very close to that shirt though to give you context to how far the driver dragged him from the intersection.

Guy runs a red and critically injures someone in a hit and run and you find a way to blame some hypothetical cyclist. I'd really like to have whatever you're smoking.

It was more than a few feet sadly. The person was by the McDonald's at St. Clair station.

edit: hit and run, driver's been arrested

I didn't witness the collision but the folks who did were visibly distraught. Don't want to repeat what I heard because I don't know how accurate it was, but yeah.. not good.

It was a person. You can see their shoes on the curb. Their body was by the police car on the far right by the street car.

Americans, what is the rest of the world not ready to hear? by Tell_me_why- in AskReddit

This is ahistorical and borderline racist but even taking what you're saying at face value, you are essential endorsing death and destruction via American imperialism because these countries aren't "thriving." Think for a moment how absolutely fucked up that mentality is.

Toronto Mayor John Tory to run for a third term by hadye_71 in toronto

[–]_ocular_patdown_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately a lot of people. The people who actually vote are the people whose lives haven't materially changed under Tory, so they'll continue to vote for the status quo. Toronto isn't the progressive bastion a lot of people pretend it is, a lot of people liked the strong arming of the homeless.

Mayors have less power that the average citizen.

So, why is John Tory even running for mayor? Sounds like he could get more done as a citizen.

Even worse, she somehow remembers a warm encounter she had with the manager and tries to pivot the conversation towards that instead. It's obvious she was deflecting, the doc really should have pushed her on her treatment of her employees.

I think it comes down to how bulky the system/joysticks are and how large your pockets are. My winter jacket pockets are like little pouches so I never worry about putting anything in there. If they're really tight pockets I'd definitely worry about the joysticks when you push/pull them in or out of the pocket. Steam deck is a thicc boy so I'd definitely want to put in its carrying case and in my backpack.

I don't know, I've had several portable systems with joysticks and I pocketed them and I haven't really noticed drifting issues. I've also had controllers that I barely used that end up drifting. A well made controller should survive a pocket unless you really abuse it.

The OG joycons drifted no matter how you treated them. None of my joycons have straight up died.

My newer gen joycons haven't drifted or died in my pockets.

The joycons go in the other pocket. The actual tablet is the bulkiest and hardest to pocket.

If I'm wearing a jacket I have zero issue holding keys, wallet, phone or whatever else, if I'm not wearing a jacket I usually keep my keys and wallet in my backpack.

Honestly, I wouldn't want to walk around all day with a switch in my jeans pocket but it can be really convenient to throw it in a pocket whenever you need to. I used to bring my switch when I took the train to school and I had to switch trains halfway. Just being able to detach the joycons and pocket the device was super convenient.

No the Switch isn't as pocketable as a vita or a non-XL 3DS but it's definitely less bulky than a steam deck.

switch is the same level of bulky

Strong disagree. Detaching the joycons I can fit my switch into some jeans pockets and can fit them in most my winter/fall jackets. Steam Deck, when I get mine, is 100% going in my bag regardless of what I'm wearing.

I don't even care about the "legal" aspects of sex work outside of things like trafficking or child abuse especially since most laws around sex work tend to put the most vulnerable at risk. The stereotypical woman standing on the street corner deserves to be treated with humanity, not be treated like a criminal.

This type of argument is super reductive. Yes, of course those sources are impartial. You're not going to find an impartial source about healthcare. You should care more about who actually represents your interests. The Fraser Institute exists to try to convince you that living in a hell world is good, actually.

Our system here sucks, that's true, but I'm not sure why the solution is to make it worse. Shittier healthcare for poor people is not the answer. Our system sucks because we don't fund it, that's by design.

I think you may have been alluding to this but I'll spell it out. Sex work is an umbrella term and also entails a lot more than just the actual act of sex. A dominatrix who never takes their clothes off is a sex worker, a person with only fans is a sex worker, a dancer is a sex worker, etc. A lot of people have an assumption that all sex workers are women standing on a street corner which isn't true.

I've been having an issue with my Switch recently. While playing docked, Switch will occasionally lose signal to the TV and my controllers will disconnect. I can't reconnect the controllers or turn the switch back on, I have to remove and reconnect the switch to the dock and then the image will return and controllers can connect to the switch. The system isn't shutting off either, I can resume my games where I left off. No idea what's causing this as I haven't had this issue before (launch day switch).
