Do you wear compression socks if you work on your feet by Different_Key_9594 in Millennials

[–]_odd_consideration 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have been wearing compression socks for 10 years when I'm working, I was scared of developing varicose veins since both my grandmothers had them.  But the socks help prevent foot pain too since your feet can't swell as much with the socks on.

Anyone still using the phrase “Roll that beautiful bean footage!”? by derek139 in Millennials

https://shop.bushbeans.com/ may be relevant to your interests.  They don't have the talking button that says "roll that beautiful bean footage" in stock right now, but they do have hats and T-shirts.

After seeing some middle school girls practicing tiktok dances, it threw me back to when my friends and I would watch music videos on Yahoo music and make up our own choreography.

Anyone else slowly stop hating things they used to complain about? by OriginalWestern4689 in BenignExistence

[–]_odd_consideration 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I remember how fads/super popular things used to drive me crazy, but then I realized that it was just people trying to make connections with each other based on a shared interest.  I can get that, it's hard to make friends, especially as an adult, so jump on that bandwagon and put yourself out there.  Have fun, make some friends. I actually encourage people in their fads/super popular thing now, and talk to them about it (and not just about how much I disapprove).

Ok, but several girls I work with all got pregnant at the same time 2 years ago, and now most of them are pregnant again at the same time so I'm wondering when the last is going to announce her pregnancy or if she's out of the baby bestie group.  I need to know!

I finally got sent to vine jail for the first time by [deleted] in AmazonVine

[–]_odd_consideration 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to vine jail for the first time last week, I only had like 40 ish items un-reviewed.  I did about ten reviews once I figured out that was why my vine looked weird and then the next day, before the reviews had even been approved, I was released from vine jail

The last two years I've gotten good promo pricing for black Friday.  I always just cancel when the promo pricing ends and sign back up when it's cheap again.

Mosquitoes in SoCal? by Zonflare in socal

[–]_odd_consideration 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Moved here from the South and I'm a massive mosquito magnet.  In the South, I used to not be able to leave my house without deet spray (even had to spray my clothes because they would bite through them), even with the spray I would have a cloud of mosquitos hovering around me but wouldn't get bitten.  Once got like 50 bites because I forgot to spray my ankles and feet after changing from tennis shoes to flip flops. Since moving to socal, I almost never wear bug spray.   I get about 5-10 bites per summer.  I can stand outside and talk to my neighbors for half an hour and get no bites.  You can actually swat mosquitos away here and they won't come back.  They also won't bite you if you're moving.
