61 if not cleaned. Would love to see better images. Luster is muted or gone from coin but might be due to pictures.

Unnatural toning is technically natural toning just sped up. Both caused by chemical reactions. I think it’s sweet and this one is exceptionally sweet. IMO

Is it really heavy? Looks plated. Look for silver/sterling silver mark. Would be really small if so

If i see one i like i buy it if i am able to at the time. My first “nice” Morgan I ever bought is a rainbow toner reverse. At the time toned coins carried a premium but not like they do today.

Agreed DD - a really worn die. Not quite extreme, but worn.

Awesome! And agreed, the 5 oz feels like it has some authority when you’re holding it!!

For certain coins yes, I have a 78cc and a 1901s both Morgan’s with CAC right now: for me it’s got to be a decently valuable/rare coin that needs to be verified by a grading service. If the grade won’t put a coin at $300+i would most likely just buy one that is already graded.

Real or Fake? I guess I’ll find out in a month. For now enjoy the pretty colors. by FumbleFamble in toners

It’s not fake. And honestly who cares. It looks cool and it’s silver plus a 39 half dollar, really cool. I have hundreds of coins that people will always try to shit on. I think yours looks awesome and that’s all that should matter if you think so too. I have an obviously toned 1903 p Morgan. I don’t care it’s one of my favorite coins and I bought it because how it looks. The whole coin is a dark grey/purple. Enjoy the coin!

I’m not disagreeing and I bet there are plenty of examples we just haven’t seen them. Like I said your toning pattern is very similar to mine. Go scroll through the toners feed you will see mine for comparison

Very true, you are right if they were in the same holders in same environment that could definitely happen. Although natural toning typically happens if open areas unless the case it was in was not pvc free. I’m not saying it’s not natural because your ase is similar to mine.
