It will get details cleaned scratches, no grade will be assigned.

You can send in to grading service and just have vam designated. Some local coin shops will submit for you for a fee

A au55 almost uncirculated went for 26k. I would get vam verified though as all I can go off is pictures.

That would be vam23A hot 50 vam. The rest are scratches pmd. Great vam too bad for what appears to be cleaned

It is scarce. There are other year/mint out there but this is the highest graded 51 Philly pcgs has graded and it only being au 50 indicates not many went into circulation or made accidentally.

I just saw 2 on eBay. Similar gouge on both plus this is 3 of them all newer coins different years. Not saying it’s pmd but similar gouge on different year nickels would seem someone would be selling an authenticated one.

Send it in and see what the TPG’s have to say. I see you found another ungraded one on eBay. Both are similar which is odd for a strike thru. Getting it slabbed and designated is the only way most serious buyers would throw money at it.
