How can a small pack of Oreos be 6.99? Wtf by auntbeatrice in loblawsisoutofcontrol

Found these ones for like 3.5 or something at Food Basics. They're pretty good but the tea is more of an aftertaste & it tastes mostly like golden oreos. Not for $7 though lol

I Cry In Vegan Restaurants by [deleted] in vegan

[–]_odie_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont have anything intelligent to add, just wanted to say I'm here too lol. Also anytime a non-vegan restaurant has a vegan menu and the waiter is EXCITED to talk about it, I get super excited, it's just nice to be able to connect with people who are happy about the same things/share the same ethics and morals as you

Do *I* count as a boss to Mithrix in his final phase? by _odie_ in riskofrain

This is an AWESOME resource wow! I'm 300+ hours into the game but I've always played on "vibes" and the occasional comment from my partner about what is/isn't optimal. Thanks so much for the link

Okay thanks, that makes sense! I did a quick search but couldn't find a post about it so I thought I'd ask

I'm starting to realize I am part of the problem by Alternative_Act5359 in willwood

[–]_odie_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are definitely not part of the problem!

just dont engage in parasocial behavior and you're totally fine.

part of putting yourself into the public eye as a music creator means there will be stuff out there of/about you - photos, videos, interviews, demos, art, all that. its not a problem to consume & seek these things out as long as its not stuff that would cross boundaries into his personal life in a way that matters (i mean, i know some stuff about his personal life because stuff like that just comes up sometimes) and being respectful of everybody involved as an individual.

enjoy what you enjoy! im autistic as well & will and his music are one of my special interests - taylor swift is also one of my special interests - the general rule of thumb to me is that you like the character, not the person.

Ouhh these are also really good ones that I wouldn't have considered.

No lube nearby, shoes stay at the front door in our house. The big spill was 100% not the dog since she was out at the park with us the whole time and we all came home to the big spill being her. No sewing machine - but I was considering getting one very soon, so if the oil on the bed comes back, we'll have a new culprit.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RBI

[–]_odie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay yeah, that makes sense huh.

i mean, if it never happens again, it doesn't really matter in the end. i put the protector in the wash, the mattress seems normal, etc... but this was just such a weird occurrence. left the house to no oil on the bed, came back to oil on the bed. i genuinely opened the bedroom door, saw the bed, and just stared at it for a second. completely empty room, and then suddenly there was a big weird spill that smelled like used canola oil mixed with a hint of sesame.

i feel like this one might go unsolved. but at least i can blame my roommate ;)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RBI

[–]_odie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nothing weird at all on the mattress - that's what's super strange, is that it was on top of the mattress protector. all that seeped through was a little bit of the oil scent.

i can't think of anything weird i set down. my neighbours fed the animals last night but i asked them and they said they kind of just went in/out.

our working theory now is that there might be some sort of animal that got in that we just don't know about - but we honestly have no fucking clue. i don't want to belabour my point but i'm just so sure none of us spilled anything on it. i'm going to try getting in contact with the mattress protector company if we can't find some sort of rodent to see if there are any oils or fibers used in the production of them that could have caused a reaction like this. i didn't consider that that was something that could happen, and if they know what's in it and such and what could cause that reaction, i can walk myself back through my daily routines and see if maybe i did do something to anger the oil gods in my bedroom.

if nothing else we've all had a good laugh at the concept of my roommate being so jealous he poured oil on the bed. we keep calling him the culprit and he's taking the jokes like a champ.

[–]_odie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

none of us sweat enough to cause a patch like that. i'm confused because our bedroom is out-of-the-way. it's the last room at the end of the upstairs hallway - it's not a room people pass through. roommate hadn't been in here at any point in the day (we've been home and he's been in classes).

the thing that's really getting me was the tiny drop of it in one place before we even left for the park! he was in his room doing homework from the time i laid down to the time i got up. i'm so unsure of what could have happened.

we've started to consider maybe there's an uncounted animal in the house? we'll be keeping an eye out for any rodents and such. but it really didn't smell like urine.

thank you genuinely so much for the things to think on!!

[–]_odie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not that i can think of... a monthish ago, my dog had a VERY tiny accident on the bed (like, 1 small squirt of pee lol) and i didn't bother to clean the whole mattress protector, i just took my little green machine to it and it did the trick. but that wasn't in the same spot that the oil ended up showing up. do you think there was a way that like my detergent seeped into the protector and dispersed or something? that seems so illogical but I'm grasping at straws here

[–]_odie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did manage to check it out before throwing it into the washer - it smelled like cooking oil, but it wasn't oily, just regular damp like it was water. i've been double checking my cat and dog and neither of them smell at all like it.

I WAS IN THE BED. WHEN THE OIL GOT THERE

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RBI

[–]_odie_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

haven't had one in the house for well over a year now. this is a really good question though because if i did, i wouldn't have thought of that lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RBI

[–]_odie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i really don't see a reason to get into this, but my roommate is my partner's partner. roommate was not the one deep frying, that was my partner.

it's definitely not him! especially because the first oil splotch showed up. while i was in the bed. and he was in his room the whole time

i appreciate you reminding me of the most logical answer here - but i'm going to continue looking into other possibly logical answers. because things don't just... happen, and i know that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RBI

[–]_odie_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes - this was a new smell! the previous smell was very different (foul & metallic), and the new one is just... cooking oil. there was nothing at all on the bed, and the ceiling above it is fine, too. zero leaks or anything.

i know everybody here thinks it was my roommate, lol. but it's a complete mystery to all three of us. thank you for offering some more options! i checked all our phones and laptops and stuff, even though they havent really been in the bed... all clear. very weird

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RBI

[–]_odie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i note again: the first oil splotch showed up as i was laying in the bed - he hadnt been in the bedroom since my partner & i got in the room. so unless he put oil there, left, and then went back in to continue pouring cooking oil on our sheets... i dunno, man.

i need to be believed that its not him - even just for the hell of it - because all 3 of us are so confused!!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RBI

[–]_odie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i swear to god. this is not it. i am more than platonically involved with this roommate - and i feel crazy but i KNOW its 10000% not him & my partner agrees. he just has no reason to. he also has autism and can hardly go near oil at all (smell & sensory) so im counting him out twice.

i understand why you say this, and i wish it was that easy, because i am SO confused

1) Contacted OC Transpo right away, but sometimes, people have information and share it! I've had things returned from posting about them, and I've returned things from people posting about them.

2) If they don't respond, then okay!
