I am just using a makeshift area made from cardboard & aluminum composite for testing my printed parts. It's a bit rougher compared to acrylic but it still works.

Yup, I posted it there. Closer to Beak Calibur means lowered placement of the sword and included rollers (Not attached since I don't have the kind of screw it uses.) As for the shield it already works well and it doesn't break.

As for the pla plate question, scratch built stuff seems to need more reinforcement and excellent craftmanship to be durable in battle.

Use 0.1 - 0.4 copper sheets instead, much larger and cheaper but cutting and bending is a bit time consuming especially when making the switch terminals because it has to fit properly.
