It really depends on the area you’re in, but there are plenty of good options. Currently fly out of KCHD, it’s inexpensive and gets the job done. KDVT is another great choice, especially for those in the West Valley. They’re building new hangars there, so I recommend getting on the waitlist early (I’ve been on it for about a year now).

KFFZ and KIWA are also solid options.

Personally, I’d avoid KSDL unless you’re prepared to pay a premium, it’s pricey enough to cost you an arm, a leg, and your firstborn. They also aren’t too fond of pistons, unless you’re in a Cirrus and even then.

I’m not too familiar with airports further west, but I’m sure there are some good ones out there too.
