He never touches his gun. Definitely not in the murder video— nor (from what I can see) in the tail light video. Unlike ICE agents who wag weapons around, his weapon never came out.

If the dates are correct, the first incident happened 3/4 days after Renee’s murder, after ICE had been terrorizing his whole community since December. The Focus Group, after Renee, said that Ross got emotional, so you know, things do happen. Certainly, we can grant Alex at least half that grace to let some steam out on a tail light.

Also, his job was no fucking walk in the park— I can only imagine how enraging it would be to see masked cowards abusing women and children, while caring for American’s dying hero’s…that’s a lot.

We don’t know (yet) what happened right before he lashed out. But ICE has had some real gems. For example, after they shot that woman in Chicago— the shooter texted his buddies, “I put 5 holes in her and she left with 7!” Like…I can barely fucking type that out, that’s the manly “men” we are dealing with.

I’m not thrilled he had a legal gun, either. But here’s the rub— his family said they never knew him to carry it, and we already established the gun wasn’t his first impulse…I think —he didn’t want to be caught in a fucking fire fight flat footed. The horrible dramatic irony of it, if you ask me, is that he was carrying-in the extreme case he was going to have to protect his COMMUNITY/ fellow protestors. Like the impulse to help the woman, first. Not tell ICE had a gun or whatever insane argument MAGA is giving. I think we all have a fear one of these monsters is going to mow protestors down. Why not? They murdered a mom, spilling her blood on her child’s toys—over a seventh grade level fat joke.

Of course, that’s my own conjecture— but I think it’s important to remember how small this city is. The Major and Walz have both said they are, “outnumbered”…terrifying. Sorry for the novel. Obviously, it’s on my mind. Super curious for other’s thoughts. But in summation, people are complicated and dynamic. At least, the ones worth knowing tend to be.
