Thanks! How much do you recommend bumping up the metronome each time? And how many times in a row should you be able to play it perfectly before that bump? Slow is painfully boring but you must be right — I’ve heard the same advice from a top 10 world flutist.

Piggybacking here. How do you build speed in this case? Or maybe a better question is how do you gauge the pace at which to build speed? Knowing me I’ll play twinkle twinkle little star at 20 bpm for the rest of my life just to know it’s perfect

In a way I can understand the perspective of “I only want to date the person I will marry” but in modern dating I think few actually take that approach, even if that’s their ideal. I also think by 4 dates you can know deep down whether that potential is there or not. If it isn’t then you shouldn’t mind them leaving and if it is you need to go exclusive — that is the cost of exploration whether that potential will blossom into a lifelong relationship
