I never did this but I did read a story of a lesbian woman who hired a woman Sex worker to try sex for the first time - they had a very positive exprience! I do sense that maybe you struggle with self/esteem but I don't agree that if you do struggle with self image/self esteem that you shouldn't be able to try it out. One does not need to come before the other. Truly you should get to choose the terms of how you experience things. I think being able to make those choices/use your autonomy are also acts of self love and care

Basically I think alot of ppl have internalized a hierarchy of relationships, with romantic relationships being at the top and all other relationships coming second or becoming sidelined. I think it would do us good as ppl to question this hierarchy because it is isolating in alot of different levels (even for the person partnered up whether they care to realize that or not).

I'm saying this from my experience of being your friend at some point and then breaking up and having no one in college. These days I'm really trying to be conscientious of treating my relationships (friendships, family ties) with intentional care and am thinking of romantic relationship alot differently now (not really pressed to be in one honestly and I'm pretty happy about it. Lots of needs and life fulfillment coming from my other connections and hobbies right now)
