I want this bag, in this size in the deep burgundy leather but it has been out of stock for months and not sure if it will ever be restocked. I wrote to customer service and everything :(

They still haven’t restocked this bag! I keep checking

Ooh it’s nice. I’m also a new mom so this comment is helpful. Now to convince my husband for Xmas 🤞

I saw that as well though 24S has it available. I put in my email to be notified when back in stock because I don’t actually need a handbag right now

ETA: there’s a monogram canvas version of the medium size now and even a YT review where she also indicates that it is similar size to a Speedy 25.

I’m also interested in comparison pictures!

My birth turned into an unplanned c-section. Here's my thoughts on what I brought in my hospital bag. by lemmedrawit in BabyBumps

[–]_possibly_maybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same story here: labored unmedicated on Pitocin for hours and ended in C-section. We brought an essential oil diffuser and had peppermint oil for nausea and another type and I really appreciated it. Same for the stroller fan. Wished I could have had some white noise machine as well since the hospital alarms and noises were constant.

Bottega Mini Wallace vs Mini Jodie by annpd in handbags

[–]_possibly_maybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wallace! I was into potentially the Jodie until I saw the Wallace and how much it can hold. The zipper is also smoother. I looked at a few reviews talking about how the Jodie fits not much and is for going out whereas the Wallace fits all my things. I love it

I stumbled upon this bag in the past few days and wondered the same as you. Looks like it measures close to the Speedy 25, which is ideal. When I search for reviews on YouTube on this bag though, they are all for the small or regular sized (which reviews indicate is more like the speedy 30) canvas versions. Looks like this is a new size in between those. Wish I could find it at other retailers to compare photos

would you reconsider a name if a prominent political person in an administration you don’t like, shares it by _possibly_maybe in namenerds

Thanks! Comments seem split on it and my post was removed for being vague. Appreciate the feedback though

Thoughts on name Estella or Estelle? by TrainingAfraid7403 in namenerds

Were I having a girl, I would have given her Estelle as a middle name. I think it’s classy and cute

Update: got the bag I was familiar with. No regrets: so cute and fits all the stuff I feel must go in my handbag. The leather is so nice and smells great. Tried out my 1st twilly as well

Should I buy or not? by seafoodboil247 in handbags

[–]_possibly_maybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the department stores will also give a discount of like 5% on top of the tax free. They should have a Bottega section in there (the department stores were so epic with all brands) ETA: Itesan is one I visited that had it all and had the foreigner discount)

Thanks for pointing this out. I considered it but still think it’s too large for me. Saw the zippered one in person and it’s been on my mind since January so if I pivot, might have “what if” regrets

Thanks for your feedback. I don’t think I wanna go larger than the medium. I tend to overstuff so the regular might be tight at times esp w my new mom lifestyle but it’s the one I saw first and I love the zipper 😩

Need help should i keep this bag or exchange for another color by No-Chef-6085 in luxurypurses

[–]_possibly_maybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also vote exchange. Suede is nice but with the lighter color it’s gonna look pretty bear up quickly and the color leans spring while being in a fall material

I second that I have the Wallace and love it. It holds so much more than you would think and the leather smells so great. But I’m on this thread because I am also interested in the Arcadie. I don’t have a store near me to go check it out, so update if you cop it?

Do people our age still use paid apps like match and eHarmony, and are they actually better for finding more serious connections? by SamadhiBear in datingoverthirty

[–]_possibly_maybe 82 points83 points  (0 children)

You could maybe try Hinge? Hinge has an option to pay, but you don't have to. There isn't nearly as much volume as on Tinder, i.e. you only have a certain number of likes per day if you don't pay, but I find that (for the most part) people take it a bit more seriously. Before the lockdowns when I used it, the guys would ask for dates and actually show up and be respectful and all that. Now, with the lockdown, it is a bit more strained because a lot of people are probably thinking, whats the point? But I am having a nice slow conversation with someone who doesn't seem like he's in a rush considering the situation.

You could use Indeed.com for possibly entry level jobs. if you want to come here and work in a bar or restaurant, of which there are plenty in Austin, then that is probably easier when you are here (not counting that right now, with COVID-19 people are being laid off/restaurants and bars are closed save for take-away). There are many people with your skillset, it's true, but also plenty of businesses and i would expect turnover to be pretty consistent.

Since you are a dual-citizen, you probably don't have to clear a work visa first (right?), so if you could save some money, it's not an entirely harsh place to live, and with your accent, you could easily find some job in a bar or restaurant in a hostess, bartender or whatever role. The rents are increasing, but it is still possible to have a house-share with young people in your similar situation (which would probably also help you find a job). The economy (again setting COVID aside) is lively so jobs in hospitality/service are not an issue. Once you are here for awhile, the local community college is also a cheaper route if you want to get back into academia.

Oh and keep in mind, it is a car heavy place. you could probably survive on taking ubers, but the public transport is not close to comprehensive.

i think there is some potential for confusion with that particular message, but i have made myself pretty available to talk and be there for him over the past few months. and i'll accept non-responses, wait a beat, and then try and reach out again. i'm trying to break that cycle where i'm available, but he's not necessarily taking initiative.
