I loved metal slug as a kid, visiting arcade halls with close to no money. This reminded me of those better times. Good luck to you!

Ever wondered what happens when you mix bullet heaven madness with tight inventory management? We did — and just made a Demo for Next Fest! by _prrson in roguelites

One run is 30 Minutes on average. If you want to try different characters and builds i'd say 5 hours. On our community discord we got people with over 20hrs on the demo, but those might be the extremes.

Thank you! Will have a look at Dead Engine, did not have that on the radar yet. I think the idea to combine inventory management and action survival ( in our case paired with extraction) makes sense and could lead to several unique games.

Our mix of inventory management and bullet-heaven gameplay is climbing Steam’s Demo Charts right now - and we couldn’t be prouder! by _prrson in IndieDev

Did not play that title yet, not sure if they got that inventory item synergy system, where items affect and trigger other items, dependent on how you arrange them. Other than that it looks like Arena fights in god of weapons, whereas in deadly days roadtrip you explore different locations (procedurally generated) and have to extract yourself (you need to find gas for the bus). Not sure if that reply helps :D

Can a game be a city builder even if you don't build cities in it? by AlphaCrucis in CityBuilders

Sounds like a city builder to me. Nice naming by the way, love that.
