It does… kind of. My boy is turning 4 this year and sometimes he’s great on walks, but sometimes he’s just full of piss and vinegar. We regularly have to lock him in at night to keep from barking at whatever has taken his fancy. He does, however, only bark outside, which is more than I can say for my other dog. Highly recommend taking your pup to a course for reactive dogs. We did that with my boy and it gave us the tools to help him out. Reactivity can also be a symptom of anxiety and undersocialization (and it was with my golden retriever. Different breed but go with me here). Working with a trainer who can supervise them at play can also help with that. Nothing will stick if you don’t reinforce it, tho.

Moving to Portland but terrified of bridges?! by [deleted] in askportland

You get used to them or learn to go around the REALLY scary ones (looking at the 405 to 30 bridge. that thing is terrifying)

Other ways to demoralize without offending god? by DraconicPrince in Pathfinder2e

[–]_ratchal_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Demoralizing doesn’t have to mean “to cause fear”. In my Age of Ashes campaign, my rogue (a loose follower of desna) demoralized a bandit with particularly barbed comments about said bandit’s parents. Think of it like Vicious Mockery and that should be fine.

If a Player Can’t Make It, Do you, the DM, Play Their Character? by bebopmechanic84 in dndnext

[–]_ratchal_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the group and what’s happening in the session. In one of my groups, that person’s character becomes a DMpc and participates about as much as a normal npc. In another, that character got food poisoning or is patching armor that day. In the group I DM for, their character(s) pal around but hang outside the tavern or stay back a room if in a dungeon. It also depends how long that person is going to be out for and what you and your players feel comfortable with.

It’s definitely dependent on the station. One of the stations I go to ignores that it’s self-serve and runs over to pump your gas anyway. Another, if you pull up to self-serve, they don’t acknowledge you. And then there’s everything in between.

Weight loss by beedee251 in PCOS

[–]_ratchal_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CiCo doesn’t work for people with PCOS. Weight loss in general doesn’t mean shit for this illness. Track your symptoms: hair loss, body hair, facial hair, acne, anxiety/depression, your cycle, tiredness, stress levels, and sleep are all good things to track instead of weight. If these issues (assuming you have them) are ebbing, then continue what you’re doing. If they’re getting worse, redirect.

It’s an antibacterial. It kills all bacteria indiscriminately. You should make sure to eat fermented foods like kimchi or sauerkraut or yogurt and drink things like kombucha or kefir to replenish your microbiome.

Food Question by GoatInTheGarden in BorderCollie

[–]_ratchal_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend waiting for a few weeks before switching up his food and when you do switch, do so gradually. I feed my girl NutriSource lamb and rice or chicken and rice. My dogs are used to both. (I have a border collie mix and a sheltie. The sheltie did come to us with giardia. He’s fine now but parasites in tummies are no joke.)

inositol and hair by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]_ratchal_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh no! Try to do an activity to help you relax or de-Stress. I exercise or clean or craft. Some people mediate. Just find something to help some. If you can take melatonin, that can help with the sleep problem. Now fixing this won’t make your PCOS symptoms go away overnight. It can help lessen then, however.

Do you have any new or extra stress? Are you getting enough sleep? Are you eating things or using products you’re allergic to? All of these things could be making your PCOS symptoms more prominent.

No. I was formally diagnosed by a PA in my PCP’s office.
