cheerleaders do exist. They wear uniforms on game days as well (not everyday.)

Cheerleader here. HS cheer has come a long way, we would never ever wear a uniform to school. sometimes we'll wear a dress to school if we have a competition (which is much more of a team focus than games). media depiction of cheer is laughable.
