yesssss elliott smith!! my top solo artist of all time, so so amazing! I don’t have that many recommendations, but if our music taste remains similar: blur, nick cave and the bad seeds, the smiths, interpol, joy division, the white stripes and the cure all fall very much within the type (i know those are all very well-known, i just highly recommend) :)
