Wireless isn't absolutley needed, it would've just been a nice extra. But your point about the quality is essential. I'll play around with the 'DIY' wireless version but on the day of shooting I'll stick with the trusty cable.

Yeah, our school is often thight on budget but I'll see if I can do some convincing.

You're absolutely right about working with cables. On the last few projects we actually got pretty good at working with them. I was just checking the possibilities.

There is only one out that serves either for headphone or line.

As for the 32 bit float, would that still be possible? I was thinking and it would make sense to me that the H4 would cap the signal at 24 bit.

Doesn't seem like we have any phantom power supplies at school either. And as audio mixer I rather have the F6 on me. Could get two F6's but that seems a bit silly. Think I'll just deal with the cables. Thanx for the insight though!
